=Incoming activity to LEO: Prof. Mensi Prela from Polytechnic University of Tirana (Albania)=
During February 2026, within the framework of the CEEPUS mobility program, I carried out a one-month academic visit at the Department of Applied Geosciences and Geophysics, Energy Geoscience – Montanuniversität Leoben in Austria. The mobility combined teaching and research activities focused on paleontology based on radiolarian fossils and biostratigraphy of carbonatic and siliceous sequences related to the Neotethyan oceanic domain. The teaching activities included a series of lectures and seminars for bachelor, master and PhD students in the field of radiolarian paleontology.

=Joy within the EURO Geo-Sci network: Dr. Natalija Batoćanin, a network beneficiary from Faculty of Mining and Geology, University of Belgrade (Serbia), defended her PhD=
It is with great pleasure that we announce the successful PhD defense of our colleague, Natalija Batoćanin. Her dissertation “Origin and facial characteristics of tufa accumulations in Serbia,” was partly supported by the EURO Geo-Sci CEEPUS mobility program at the Institute of Geological Sciences, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. We extend our gratitude to Prof. Dr. Wojciech Wróblewski for his significant contribution and assistance.

=EURO Geo-Sci: Honored for Long-standing Commitment and Continuous Contribution=
At a grand ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the Faculty of Mining and Geology, University of Belgrade, the CEEPUS network EURO Geo-Sci was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation. This recognition was awarded for 21 years of continuous dedication to enhancing the educational process and research at the Faculty through the implementation of student and staff mobility programs. The certificate was presented to the network coordinator, Prof. Kristina Šarić, by the Vice-Dean for Education, Prof. Branko Gluščević.
