🎧 Harvey McKay, from the underground to eternity: the legacy that will never stop pounding
The techno community has just lost one of its absolute titans. Harvey McKay, the Scottish powerhouse and Drumcode legend, has passed away. From cutting his teeth in Glasgow to tearing up the booths at Awakenings and Fabrik, Harvey didn't just play tracks—he shaped the very sonic identity of modern, driving techno. His signature heavy, soulful groove left an undeniable imprint on the global electronic scene. It’s a devastating reminder of how fragile life is, but also a massive wake-up call for every aspiring producer out there. Harvey proved that with raw passion and relentless work in the studio, a kid from Scotland could make the world dance. His physical presence might be gone, but those basslines are eternal. The highest tribute we can pay to a master is to keep the energy alive, keep digging, and keep pushing the boundaries of the underground. Rest in power, Harvey. Your music will keep shaking dancefloors forever.
❓Harvey built his legendary career from scratch in the studio; what drives you to stay locked in and push your own sound when you’re behind the decks or producing?

🎧 Farewell to a house music pioneer: Philipp Jung dies at 55
House music has lost one of its true architects.
Philipp Jung, cofounder of Get Physical Music () and one half of M.A.N.D.Y., has passed away at 55.
From defining the sound of melodic house during the 2000s to building one of electronic music’s most influential labels, his impact reached far beyond the booth. Together with Patrick Bodmer, he helped create records and dancefloor moments that shaped an entire generation of DJs, producers and clubbers.
Through Get Physical Music, he championed artists, launched new sounds and proved that underground music could connect globally without losing its identity.
Only months ago, he was still celebrating 25 years of music, discovering new talent and looking towards the future.
