Pulse 2026 ran late into the night across our campus. Two stages, a vinyl market, art installations — and a room where the bass was heavy enough to feel through the walls outside.

Student Malte Weber wrote about the night for our article, moving between the Social Stage and the heavier, more experimental performances happening deeper inside the building.

This year's ceremony ran exactly as it should: loud, generous, a little emotional.

We handed part of this blog to student Anka Kiladze, who wrote about the Catties from inside the room. What it felt like, what stood out, why the atmosphere matters as much as the awards.

The winners are in there too. Read it on our blog (👉 https://catalyst-berlin.com/stories/catties-2026)

Five delightfully absurd short plays in one evening, performed by first-year Acting BA students. Things got beautifully weird during their comedy showcase of David Ives’ All in the Timing.

We're hosting a virtual screening of Film Production Bachelor of Arts student and alumni work on 10 June at 17:00 Berlin time, and we'd like you to join us. It's a good way to see what students produce at Catalyst and what they go on to make after.

This is what's screening:

The Birdcage — Emma Giuliani (Film Production, alumni)
Through a Block of Beauty — Zhi Zi Ong (Film Production, alumni)
The Bullets I Keep — Cosima Röhl (Acting, current student)

"It’s small and it’s simple... but even a simple note can sound so huge."

Eleonor pushes the Moog Minitaur beyond standard bassline duty in this month's episode. Watch how she treats the instrument as a gateway to experimentation and making a heavy sound.
