Very excited about the opening of my exhibition "YOU ARE NEVER REALLY ALLONE" tomorrow at KÖNIG GALERIE in Berlin 🐧
For this exhibition my mirror balloon sculptures have been transformed into penguins. Their polished surfaces reflect and distort both the architecture and whoever stands in front of them, shifting with every movement.
Each sculpture is placed on a pale stone collected along the Danish coast. Together, they suggest a moment of pause, as if the penguins have come to rest and are quietly observing their surroundings.
Pass by and see for yourself, if you have the chance!

"YOU ARE NEVER REALLY ALLONE" opens next week at KÖNIG GALERIE in Berlin 🐧
For this exhibition my mirror balloon sculptures transformed into penguins. Their polished surfaces reflect and distort both the architecture and whoever stands in front of them, shifting with every movement.
Each sculpture is named after regions associated with penguin habitats, including Chile, Argentina, Peru, South Africa, Namibia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Galápagos Islands. The names are drawn from Indigenous languages and refer to ideas of care, guidance, nature, and presence.
The title spells ALLONE to hold "all" and "one" together at the same time: you are singular, and you are part of something larger.
