Congratulations to Ali H Rafati

We are happy to congratulate Ali H Rafati on the successful defense of his PhD dissertation, "Mathematical Modelling of Neural Development," yesterday at Aarhus Universitetshospital.

We would also like to thank the assessment committee, Brian Hansen, Marie-Eve Tremblay, and Tuomo Mäki-Marttunen, for their valuable contributions to the evaluation process.

TNU at Neuroscience Day 2026

We enjoyed attending Neuroscience Day 2026 yesterday in the beautiful new Byauditorium at Universitetsbyen, Aarhus Universitet

The day was packed with inspiring talks, including the Brain Prize Lecture by last year's Brain Prize laureate, Professor Frank Winkler from Heidelberg University, entitled "Cancer Neuroscience of Brain Tumors: From Fundamental Discoveries to Clinical Trials."

We were especially proud of our three TNU researchers, Eleonora Genovese, Sofie Sjølund Christensen, and Nicole Rodrigues Silva, who all presented their research posters at the event.

A great day of neuroscience, inspiration, and connections across the research community.

For the fourth year in a row, students, clinicians, and researchers came together at Aarhus Universitetshospital for the Educational Symposium in Psychiatry.
From workshops on psychopharmacology and neuroimaging to inspiring talks by leading international researchers, the day was filled with new knowledge, lively discussions, and valuable networking opportunities.
Congratulations to Wanjun Lin from CFIN/MindLab, who won this year's €1,000 Poster Prize for her outstanding research.
A huge thank you to all speakers, participants, poster presenters, and to Lundbeckfonden for making the symposium possible.
We are already looking forward to the 5th Educational Symposium in Psychiatry in 2027. Stay tuned.

We are very proud to share that Professor Gregers Wegener, Head of the Translational Neuropsychiatry Unit at Aarhus University, has been elected President-Elect of the CINP - The International College of Neuropsychopharmacology.

This international recognition reflects Gregers Wegener’s important contributions to neuroscience and neuropsychopharmacology research, as well as his longstanding commitment to international collaboration in brain and mental health research.

As President-Elect, he will contribute to strengthening CINP as a global scientific community with a strong focus on education, innovation, and support for early-career researchers.

We congratulate Gregers Wegener on this important recognition and look forward to following his continued work within the global CINP community.
