Swiss School of Management - Cairo

Under the theme "International Partnerships Towards a More Connected Future," the Swiss School of Management (SSM) was proud to participate in the Business Advisory Council and International Cooperation Event, hosted by the AASTMT Arab Academy For Science, Technology and Maritime Transport– Al Alamein Campus on 16 June 2026.

The event brought together an inspiring gathering of leaders, ambassadors, academics, and business professionals, all united by a shared vision: building meaningful partnerships that drive innovation, develop human capital, strengthen global connections, and contribute to sustainable economic growth.

We were honored by the presence of H.E. Ambassador Dr. Andreas Baum, Ambassador of Switzerland to Egypt, whose insightful remarks emphasized the importance of international academic cooperation in creating lasting bridges of knowledge and sustainable development.

One of the highlights of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Swiss School of Management (SSM) and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT). The agreement was signed on behalf of SSM by Dr. Massimiliano Bracalè, President of Swiss School of Management, marking the beginning of a promising collaboration between two institutions committed to excellence in education.

We were also delighted to see Dr. Massimiliano Bracalè, Dr. Ahmed Sobhi Hamido, and Dr. Gilbert Chopard contribute to the panel discussion titled "Empowering Youth for National Development," alongside an outstanding group of distinguished leaders and experts. The discussion sparked valuable conversations on how education, innovation, and international collaboration can equip young people with the skills and opportunities needed to shape the future and contribute to national development.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar - إسماعيل عبدالغفار, President of AASTMT, for his visionary leadership and continuous commitment to fostering international cooperation and academic excellence. Our special thanks also go to Prof. Dr. Prof Niveen El Saghier-الأستاذة الدكتورة نيفين الصغير, Dean of the College of Management and Technology at AASTMT – Al Alamein Campus, for her dedication, support, and efforts in bringing this remarkable event to life.

This strategic partnership is a testament to the vision, dedication, and tireless efforts of Dr. Ahmed Sobhi Hamidou From the very beginning, his leadership and commitment were instrumental in bringing this collaboration to life. Through his continuous support and belief in the value of international cooperation, this partnership has grown into a meaningful opportunity that opens new doors for academic exchange, innovation, and future opportunities for both institutions.
