Some classrooms are measured by their size. Others by the conversations they bring together.
Yesterday, 12 candidates from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Algeria, the United Kingdom, and Nigeria begin their full-time online CELTA course.
Different time zones. Different teaching contexts. Different experiences. Yet for the weeks ahead, they will share the same discussions, challenges, and moments of discovery that emerge when teachers come together to examine their practice.
Guided by Marcela Cintra and Bruna Caltabiano, this cohort brings together perspectives from across three continents, creating a learning space where every session is shaped not only by the course itself, but by the people in it.
Before the first lesson is taught, something else takes shape: a community of teachers connected by curiosity, professionalism, and a willingness to learn from one another.
The screens are on. The conversations are about to begin.
The next CELTA cohort is already taking shape.

TEFL starts with a room full of questions.
Today, 26 candidates from Egypt and Sudan begin their part-time face-to-face TEFL course, bringing different experiences, goals, and perspectives into the same learning space.
Over the coming weeks, lesson planning, classroom management, learner engagement, and teaching techniques will move from discussion into practice. Ideas will be explored, lessons will be designed, and teaching decisions will be examined more closely.
Every classroom has two sides: what learners see, and the preparation that makes it possible. TEFL invites candidates to step behind the curtain and understand how effective lessons are built.
For this cohort, the first session is just the beginning of that conversation.
The next TEFL course will soon take its place in the classroom.

CELTA begins long before the first lesson is taught.
Today, 36 candidates across our part-time face-to-face and online CELTA courses begin a programme where teaching is examined from every angle, then refined through practice.
Teachers from Yemen, Egypt, Sudan, Palestine, and Jordan bring a range of experiences into these CELTA cohorts. Over the weeks ahead, lesson plans will be tested, assumptions will be challenged, and feedback will become part of the process.
CELTA is often compared to a mirror. Not because it tells you who to be as a teacher, but because it offers a clearer view of the choices you make in the classroom and the thinking behind them.
Some candidates will gather around classroom tables. Others will connect through screens. Both groups will move through the same cycle of planning, teaching, observing, and reflecting that has supported English language teachers for decades.
The first pages are open. The conversations are about to begin.
If teaching is a craft, CELTA is the workshop where many teachers learn to sharpen their tools.
The next CELTA cohort is already on the horizon.

CELTA Graduation is where the lesson plan becomes a teaching story.
Over the past few weeks, this group stepped into classrooms, analysed language, planned lessons, reflected on their feedback, and returned the next day ready to do it all again.
They learned that effective teaching is built in small moments:
โขโ โ Clearer instructions
โขโ โ Detailed feedback
Focused reflection
โขโ โ Lessons that truly connect with learners
Today, those moments come together in one milestone.
Congratulations to our newest CELTA graduates. Your certificates mark the end of the course, but they also represent something far more valuable: the confidence, professionalism, and classroom awareness that will travel with you wherever you teach.
We look forward to meeting the next group soon.
