Partnership Officer | Partnerships, Grants & Resource Mobilization

Location: Maadi, Cairo
Job Status: Full-Time
Deadline: 25 May 2026

At Vera Egypt, we don’t just run programs, we run a movement for her.
Inspired by the legacy of St. Verena of Zurzach, an Egyptian woman who devoted her life to healing the marginalized, Vera Egypt is a bold, fast-growing social enterprise dedicated to ending the shame and stigma of period poverty across the Middle East and beyond.
We work at the intersection of women’s public health, gender empowerment, refugee programs, and women’s economic inclusion; we partner with government health systems, UN agencies, and private sector institutions to create real, measurable change in the lives of women and girls.

About the Role
The Partnership Officer is a central, high-impact role that sits at the intersection of partnership development, grant writing, and resource mobilization. You will cultivate strategic relationships across the public and private sectors, write compelling funding proposals, and actively support Vera Egypt’s expansion into new markets across the Middle East and Africa.
This is the role for someone who thrives on relationship-building, loves crafting a strong funding case, and believes deeply in women’s rights and dignity.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Map, develop & manage partnerships with MoH, Ministry of Social Affairs, National Women’s Councils & local health directorates
• Build B2B partnerships with employers, health insurers & microfinance institutions
• Lead & co-lead grant proposal writing, concept notes & expressions of interest
• Identify new funding opportunities from USAID, EU, GIZ, UNFPA, UNICEF, WHO & foundations
• Lead development & negotiation of MOUs, sub-grant contracts & service-level agreements
• Support donor stewardship: meetings, site visits, progress updates & narrative reporting
• Represent Vera Egypt in health cluster meetings, gender working groups & donor roundtables
• Support B2C outreach by coordinating with community health workers & refugee focal points
• Monitor partner performance & provide capacity-building support to sub-partners
• Contribute to Vera Egypt’s international expansion strategy across the Middle East & Africa

What We’re Looking For

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, International Development, Gender Studies, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience Required:
• 4–7 years total professional experience
• At least 3 years in partnerships, external relations, or donor engagement
• At least 2 years in a women’s health or gender empowerment context (preferred)
• At least 1–2 years in grant writing or proposal development
• Experience working with refugee or displaced populations (strongly preferred)
• At least 1 year in B2B or private sector engagement (preferred)

Key Skills:
• Strong understanding of the women’s public health landscape, donor priorities & civil society actors
• Proven grant writing track record with successfully funded proposals
• Knowledge of grant management, donor compliance & sub-partner management
• Excellent negotiation, networking & relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholder groups
• Advanced written & verbal communication in Arabic and English (French is an asset)

Bonus Points For:

• Track record building B2B partnerships with private sector companies for CSR or social impact
