ÉCORCHÉ SCULPTURE INTENSIVE — SUMMER SESSION
📅 July 6–31, 2026 | Barcelona
This 4-week intensive course is designed for a small group, allowing focused study and individual attention.
The process is built step by step:
each stage of anatomical construction is clearly explained, followed by instructor demonstrations, so you understand what to do, why, and how. After that, you work hands-on while receiving continuous guidance and corrections.
• Small group format
• Daily instructor demos
• Clear, structured anatomical construction
• Personal feedback at every stage
📸 In the process:
You will build an écorché figure step by step —
• starting with the full skeleton
• then adding muscles in layers
• understanding how form, movement, and surface anatomy are connected
This gives you a clear understanding of the figure — from structure to a fully developed anatomical form.

Ready to get your hands in clay? Join us;)
We’d like to share with you the process of creating this portrait, made by as a demo during a sculpture workshop at the studio. The portrait was sculpted using two types of ceramic clay: a coarse grog clay for the first layer and a finer grog clay for the surface. The piece has been fired.
1. The portrait after high-temperature firing.
2. The beginning of the process: the first layer of coarse grog clay applied on a wooden armature with cardboard used to build up the volume of the head. This method immediately allows control of the clay thickness.
3. The next layer was made with a finer grog clay, which allowed us to achieve a relatively smooth surface.
4–5. The sculpture was cut into several parts in order to remove it from the armature.
6. The clay thickness was carefully evened out to about 3 cm.
7. All seams were rejoined and refined.
8. The sculpture was fully reassembled and then covered with a plastic bag for a week so the moisture in the clay could equalize. After that, it was left to dry completely before firing.
That’s the process 😉
If you enjoyed seeing it, leave a comment — we’ll be happy to share more behind-the-scenes of our work.
Special thanks to for the firing.
