What an incredible two days! 🔥
On May 20 and 21, we concluded our intensive 14-hour training program focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). It wasn’t just a course; it was a journey of transformation, collaboration, and deep learning.
During these two days, we moved beyond theory to tackle the real challenges of today’s financial world through five key pillars:
Disability Inclusion: moving from medical labels to the social model of disability.
Gender Equality: analyzing the pay gap and promotion biases.
Multicultural Competence: building bridges across diverse backgrounds.
Inclusive Language: reducing cognitive biases in every communication.
EU Regulation: navigating the legal landscape of work inclusion.
Highlights from the room: 🌟
Radical Accessibility in Action: we proved that inclusion is possible in hybrid formats. By following accessibility protocol, such as visual-first presentations and dedicated pauses, we ensured that our online deaf participant and sign language interpreter were fully integrated into every discussion.
The "Barrier Mapping" Challenge: groups worked together to identify physical, digital, and cognitive barriers within fictional financial institutions, creating visual maps to find real-world solutions.
Integrative Dilemmas: on day 2, our participants tackled a complex "Integrative Dilemma," learning how to detect exclusionary language while navigating multicultural conflicts.
What’s Next? 🚀
Training is just the beginning. Our participants are returning to their offices with individual commitment and concrete action plans to implement starting next week.
A huge thank you to Institut d’Estudis Financers for the excellent organization and warm hospitality, and to all the participants for their openness, expertise, and commitment to making the financial sector a place where everyone belongs. 🫂

We are excited to share the latest progress of the project following our coordination meeting held on May 8!
Key Focus Areas:
The session was primarily dedicated to the advancement of Work Packages 3 and 4, focusing on the finalization of our educational content and the strategic dissemination of project results.
Our mission remains clear: integrating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training into Vocational Education and Training (VET) specifically for the finance sector.
We are currently concentrating our efforts on developing specialized learning courses tailored for finance professionals.
A major highlight of our recent discussions was the final coordination for the upcoming Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA) in Barcelona. This event marks a crucial milestone for testing our methodologies and ensuring the highest quality for our finalized educational outputs.
The consortium continues to work hand-in-hand to meet all project milestones, driven by the goal of fostering more inclusive professional environments across Europe.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to shape the future of DEI in the financial sector!

Progress is moving fast in the DEIMAN4FINANCE project!
Partners are currently conducting the peer review of the five training courses that make up the programme, a key step to ensure quality, coherence, and relevance before the next phase 🚀
DEIMAN4FINANCE is designed to support the integration of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the financial sector by developing a new professional profile, the DEI Manager, while equipping VET systems with flexible, learner-centred training pathways aligned with labour market needs.
All this work is leading us towards our upcoming LTTA in Barcelona in May 📍, where partners will come together to review the content, test it through practical workshops, and exchange insights and good practices across the consortium 🇬🇷 🇧🇪 🇪🇸 🇨🇾 🇧🇬

📚 Learning to recognize bias
Biases are part of how our brains process information, and they can influence our decisions without us even realising it.
When we become aware of them, we can make more objective and inclusive choices. Organisations that understand bias can create environments where diverse ideas and voices are respected.
The DEIMAN4FINANCE project explores how understanding biases can support more inclusive workplaces.
