Today, we recognize , a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, achievements, and contributions of Black communities throughout history.
Juneteenth is also an opportunity to reflect on the importance of freedom, equality, and the ongoing pursuit of a more inclusive society.
As an international university, we believe that learning from history and engaging with diverse perspectives helps build greater understanding across cultures and communities.
Together, we continue to foster dialogue, respect, and global citizenship.

🎾 Diplomacy, networking, and a little healthy competition.
On June 14, our campus hosted the first-ever Ambassadors' Schiller Cup at Club Tenis Chamartin, bringing together diplomats and students for a day of sport, cultural exchange, and meaningful connections.
Beyond the matches, students had the opportunity to engage directly with ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from different countries, exchanging ideas, perspectives, and experiences in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
At Schiller, we believe some of the most valuable learning happens through the connections students build. Creating opportunities to engage with professionals, leaders, and peers from around the world helps students expand their networks, gain new perspectives, and develop relationships that can shape their personal and professional journeys.
Congratulations to this year's champions, Jaime Burguera and Santiago Velo de Antelo, winners of the Pegasus Trophy created in collaboration with Ayúdame3D.
A sincere thank you to all participants, as well as our partners at Club de Tenis Chamartín and Academia de la Diplomacia del Reino de España, whose support helped make this first edition possible.
We hope this is just the beginning of a new Schiller tradition!👏

We often talk about equal opportunities.
But what do they actually look like in practice?
Is it representation in leadership? Access to mentorship? Career development? The confidence to speak up and be heard?
The reality is that gender equality isn't shaped by a single initiative. It's influenced by the environments where people learn, grow, and prepare for their future careers.
At Schiller, SDG 5: Gender Equality is a strategic focus for 2026, reflected through leadership, student engagement, professional development, and opportunities designed to support future generations of leaders.
Our latest carousel explores how we're approaching this commitment across our international campuses.

What can a team of four achieve on an international stage?
At the University of Münster International Model United Nations (MUIMUN 2026) conference in Germany, Narek Arshakyan, Muras Baiyshev, Manuel González Estévez and Valentina Mouchbahani from Schiller International University's Madrid Debate Club competed against much larger university delegations from across Europe and delivered an exceptional result:
🏆 Four Outstanding Delegate awards
🏆 Second place overall delegation ranking
🌍 Nine languages spoken across the team
🤝 Countless lessons in diplomacy, negotiation, public speaking, and international collaboration
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that they were the smallest delegation at the conference.
Representing countries, negotiating resolutions, defending complex foreign policy positions, and finding common ground across different perspectives, our students demonstrated the skills that matter in today's global environment.
As one delegate shared:
"Schiller is very good at public speaking and debating. That's what really gave us the edge."
We are incredibly proud of these students for representing Schiller with confidence, professionalism, and determination. Their success reflects not only their hard work, but also the power of bringing together different cultures, perspectives, and ideas to tackle global challenges. We can't wait to see how they continue to make an impact in the future!💙

For a few hours, our students weren't just students. They became diplomats, UN experts, NGO representatives, and human rights advocates🌎
Through a hands-on simulation organized by Professor Hossein Zarhani, students stepped into the complex world of international human rights monitoring, applying legal knowledge, negotiation, critical thinking, and communication skills to a real-world scenario.
The experience continued with a guest session led by Maria Luisa Romero, former Minister and Vice-Minister of Government of Panama and current member of the UN Subcommittee for the Prevention of Torture, who shared firsthand insights into the realities of human rights work, governance, and international institutions.
A sincere thank you to Professor Zarhani, María Luisa Romero, and our students for creating such an engaging and thought-provoking learning experience!

More than 24,000 mangroves planted. An international fellowship bringing together participants from 14 countries. And it all started with one idea.
Meet Paundra Hanutama, an MS in Sustainability student at Schiller International University's Paris campus and the founder of Mangrove Jakarta (Yayasan Mangrove Indonesia Lestari), a youth-led initiative dedicated to mangrove conservation, climate awareness, and environmental education🌿
Since launching the organization in 2020, Paundra has worked to connect communities, students, and young leaders with meaningful environmental action. Today, his work extends far beyond Indonesia through conservation projects, educational programs, and the International Mangrove Impact Fellowship.
In our latest Student Spotlight, Paundra shares what inspired him to start the initiative, the lessons he's learned as an environmental leader, and why collaboration is essential when tackling global sustainability challenges.
His story is a reminder that meaningful impact doesn't start with a title. It starts with taking action.
