🚀 We were part of a session that brought together leaders from the innovation, entrepreneurship, science, academia, business and public institution ecosystem, all around a shared goal: to drive new opportunities for collaboration and development for the region and the agri-food sector.

🌱 The event marked the launch of Startup Studio Maule, an initiative led by Grupo Zenit, co-executed by Universidad Autónoma de Chile and supported by Corfo, with the purpose of promoting knowledge, technology and regional innovation for the creation and acceleration of high-potential startups.

💡 During the event, the AVONNI 2026 Award was also launched, promoted by ForoInnovación, with the support of FIA and Agrosuper.

🎙️ As part of our participation, our R&D Director was interviewed to discuss the importance of innovation and collaboration between public and private institutions, academia and companies as key factors in moving towards sustainable solutions with real impact on the industry.

🤝 We continue to connect with spaces that promote innovation, applied science and the development of new opportunities for the future of the agri-food sector.

🔬 We are participating in the SERENIA project, a research and innovation initiative focused on developing functional foods aimed at emotional well-being and the management of mild anxiety symptoms associated with everyday stress.

🤝 Coordinated by Fruselva Global, this project is being developed in collaboration with Tecnalia and the Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (EHU), bringing together science, technology and industry to advance natural, safe food solutions based on scientific evidence.

🌱 Members of the Fruselva team attended the 43rd International Symposium on Diabetes & Nutrition, held very close to our headquarters in Riudoms.

🤝 In addition, as the event took place in our local area, we were pleased to sponsor the symposium and support the award for the best conference.

💡 A way to promote talent, research and knowledge shared at these important gatherings, which help us continue moving forward in nutrition, health and innovation.

🤝 Last month, Fruselva, as coordinator of the FARO-i project, participated in the consortium meeting hosted by Ingredalia at CEIN, to review the latest progress in the development of innovative nutritional solutions aimed at preventing childhood obesity.

🔬 FARO-i brings together Fruselva, Universitat de Barcelona (UB), GrupNucox UIB and Ingredalia S.L., combining scientific, technological and industrial expertise to develop innovative food solutions based on functional ingredients and healthy formulations.

📊 The project has already generated promising preclinical results, with bioactive ingredients showing potential anti-obesogenic effects in animal models, including positive impacts on body weight regulation and metabolic health. In addition, the first gene expression analyses are providing valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying these nutritional strategies.

👧🍎 At the same time, the nutritional intervention study in children is now underway, and participant recruitment remains open as researchers continue working to assess the real-world impact of these innovative formulations.
