KUE, Serve Global, and Education Matters Sign a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Collaboration in Education

(KUE, June 2026) – Kotebe University of Education, Serve Global (SG), and Education Matters (EM) have signed a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in advancing education, research, youth empowerment, and professional development.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on behalf of the three institutions by Dr. Tewodros Mulugeta, Vice President for Research and Community Engagement of Kotebe University of Education; Mr. Tariku Negash, Deputy Country Director of Serve Global; and Mrs. Aida Asseged, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Education Matters.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Tewodros Mulugeta, Vice President for Research and Community Engagement of Kotebe University of Education, stated that KUE is one of Ethiopia's leading higher education institutions specializing in teacher education and is committed to producing competent and competitive educators at all levels of the education system. He noted that the University is dedicated to achieving the country's educational goals through quality teaching, research, community engagement, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He added that the University is pleased to collaborate with Serve Global and Education Matters in implementing the key objectives outlined in the MoU, particularly in promoting innovation, creating employment opportunities, and encouraging graduates to become job creators.

Mr. Tariku Negash, Deputy Country Director of Serve Global, explained that Serve Global is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to creating employment opportunities in the education sector, promoting vocational and professional skills development, and empowering young people. He expressed the organization's readiness to work closely with Kotebe University of Education in preparing highly qualified education professionals and strengthening youth employability.

Mrs. Aida Asseged, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Education Matters, stated that Education Matters is an education consulting organization that strengthens the education ecosystem by connecting parents, teachers, and schools through various platforms and networks. She emphasized that the organization is committed to improving the quality of education, providing professional training for early childhood educators, and promoting the dissemination of evidence-based educational knowledge. She further expressed her organization's commitment and enthusiasm to work with Kotebe University of Education in implementing the objectives set out in the Memorandum of Understanding.

The MoU establishes a comprehensive tripartite framework for collaboration in the areas of graduate employment, teacher education, professional development, research and innovation, curriculum development, community engagement, and institutional capacity building. The signing ceremony was coordinated by Dr. Melkamu Afeta, Director of University –Industry Linkage and Technology Transfer at Kotebe University of Education, and attended by senior officials from the three partner institutions who witnessed the formal signing of the agreement.

KUE and Pioneers of Change Africa Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Educational Innovation and Youth Empowerment

(KUE, June 2026) – Kotebe University of Education and Pioneers of Change Africa have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a strategic partnership aimed at advancing educational innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership development, employability, research, youth empowerment, and sustainable development through joint initiatives, collaborative programs, and resource mobilization.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Teshome Nekatibeb, President of Kotebe University of Education, welcomed the partnership and expressed his appreciation to Pioneers of Change Africa for their commitment to working with the University to promote impactful education. He emphasized that the mission of higher education is to produce competent, responsible, and patriotic citizens who contribute meaningfully to national development. He noted that the two institutions will collaborate to strengthen the link between university education and employment, promote entrepreneurship and job creation among graduates, encourage greater family engagement in education, support democratic school leadership, and enhance cooperation in education, research, and community service.

Dr. Tewodros Mulugeta, Vice President for Research and Community Engagement, welcomed the participants and highlighted that Kotebe University of Education has more than seventy years of dedicated service in teacher education and has produced generations of outstanding professionals. While teaching remains the University's primary mission, he stated that research, innovation and community engagement are equally important pillars of its mandate. He explained that the agreement will contribute to improving the quality of education, equipping students with entrepreneurial and practical skills, and creating meaningful and lasting social impact through joint initiatives.

Mr. Biruk Mesele, Executive Director of Pioneers of Change Africa, commended Kotebe University of Education for its on-going institutional transformation, including major infrastructure development and leadership reforms. He explained that Pioneers of Change Africa works in the areas of education and skills development, entrepreneurship and innovation, civic engagement, and leadership development. He expressed his organization's pleasure in partnering with KUE to promote educational entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, and job creation, emphasizing that quality education is a powerful driver of national transformation and sustainable development.

Dr. Melkamu Afeta, Director of University–Industry Linkage and Technology Transfer at KUE, underscored the importance of translating the agreement into concrete action. He called on both institutions to work diligently to ensure the successful implementation of the partnership and to achieve its intended objectives through sustained collaboration.

The Memorandum of Understanding was officially signed by Dr. Teshome Nekatibeb, President of Kotebe University of Education, and Mr. Biruk Mesele, Executive Director of Pioneers of Change Africa, in the presence of senior officials and representatives from both institutions. The AI-Enhanced Pedagogy Training Workshop is Concluded Successfully at KUE

(KUE, June 18, 2026) – Kotebe University of Education (KUE), in collaboration with the United States Embassy in Addis Ababa, successfully concluded a nine-day professional development workshop titled "AI-Enhanced Pedagogy," held from June 8–18, 2026.

According to the program coordinator, Dr. Dejen Chaka, the training focused on integrating artificial intelligence into education while emphasizing ethical principles, legal compliance, digital repositories, and the development of educational resources. The workshop empowered teachers to transition from being consumers of digital content to becoming creators of innovative learning materials. Participants gained practical experience in developing e-portfolios to showcase and store their digital work, creating e-books, designing interactive student worksheets using AI-powered tools like MagicSchool AI, enhancing language teaching skills, and exploring a wide range of other AI-supported educational applications.

During the closing ceremony, three participant representatives shared testimonials highlighting the practical knowledge, professional growth, and transformative experiences they gained throughout the training. They emphasized that the workshop had strengthened their confidence and equipped them with valuable digital skills that they will apply in their classrooms.

Delivering his closing remarks, the lead trainer, Professor Nega Worku Debela, reflected on the participants' inspiring journey of learning, discovery, and innovation over the past nine days. He noted that the workshop climaxed in remarkable achievements, with participants acquiring advanced digital competencies and AI-enhanced pedagogical skills that will significantly improve their professional practice. He explained that the teachers are now capable of developing and using their own AI-powered educational applications to teach English speaking, listening, reading, and writing more effectively, thereby creating engaging, innovative, and learner-centred classroom experiences.

Representing the United States Embassy in Addis Ababa, Mr. George, the Regional English Language Officer, commended both the trainers and participants for their commitment and hard work throughout the program. He expressed confidence that the knowledge and practical skills acquired during the workshop would foster continuous educational innovation, strengthen teaching quality, and contribute to preparing the next generation with the knowledge and skills needed for the future.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Dr. Teshome Nekatibeb, President of Kotebe University of Education, stated that the training would make a significant contribution to improving the University's teaching and learning process. He highlighted that the AI applications developed during the workshop will enable teachers to explain complex concepts and difficult vocabulary in more practical, interactive, and engaging ways. He further noted that the creative projects presented by the participants clearly demonstrated the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in education. Dr. Teshome expressed his sincere appreciation to Professor Nega Worku Debela for leading the training with dedication and expertise, as well as to the United States Embassy in Addis Ababa for its generous support in making the program a success.

At the conclusion of the workshop, certificates were awarded to participants who successfully completed the training. In his closing remarks, Dr. Alebachew Kemisso, Vice President for Academic Affairs, emphasized that the "AI-Enhanced Pedagogy" training had made a significant contributions to enhancing teaching and learning through the effective integration of artificial intelligence. He thanked the organizers, facilitators, and participating teachers for their commitment and encouraged the graduates to apply the knowledge and skills they had acquired to enrich their professional practice and promote innovative, technology-enhanced education.

(ኮትዩ፣ ሰኔ 10 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም) – የቋንቋዎች ትምህርት ኮሌጅ በኢትዮጵያ የቴአትር እና የሥነጽሑፍ ዘርፍ የረጅም ዘመን አስተዋፅኦ ካበረከተው ገጣሚና ጸሐፌ ተውኔት አያልነህ ሙላቱ ጋር የሥነጽሑፍ ውይይት ያካሄደ ሲሆን፣ ደራሲውም በሥነጽሑፍ መስክ ያሳለፈውን የረጅም ዓመታት ጉዞ እና ያጋጠሙትን ተሞክሮዎች ለተሳታፊዎች አካፍሏል።

በውይይቱ ወቅት ደራሲው ወደ ሥነጽሑፍ ዓለም እንዲገባ ያነሳሱትን ምክንያቶች፣ የልጅነት ትዝታዎቹን፣ የዩኒቨርሲቲ መምህርነት ቆይታውን እና የደራሲነት ህይወቱን በተመለከተ ከኮሌጁ መምህራን ለቀረቡለት ጥያቄዎች ምላሽ ሰጥቷል።
የሥነጽሑፍ ፍቅሩ እንዲያድግ ትልቅ ሚና የተጫወቱት አባቱ መሆናቸውን የገለጸው ገጣሚና ጸሐፌ ተውኔት አያልነህ፣ ከዩኒቨርሲቲ መምህርነት እስከ ባህል ማዕከል ዳይሬክተርነት እንዲሁም በተለያዩ የመንግስት ኃላፊነቶች ሀገሩን ከማገልገል በተጨማሪ ለመድረክና ለሕትመት የበቁ ሙሉ ጊዜ ተውኔቶቹን፣ የታተሙ ግጥሞቹን እና ሙዚቃዊ ድራማዎቹን እንዲሁም ከውጭ ቋንቋዎች ወደ አማርኛ የተረጎማቸውን ሥነጽሑፋዊ ሥራዎቹን በዝርዝር አብራርቷል።
ለህትመት በበቁ እና መድረክ ላይ በቀረቡ የተውኔት ሥራዎቹም ምክንያት የደረሰበትን የእስርና የመጉላላት አጋጣሚ፣ ሀገር በቀል እውቀት እና በዚሁ እሴት ላይ የተመሠረተ ሥርዓተ ትምህርት ለሀገራችን ዕድገት እንዲሁም ለትውልዱ መቀጠል አስፈላጊ መሆናቸውን በመግለፅም ከመምህራኑ ጋር ሰፊ ውይይት አድርጓል።

ውይይቱም የሀገሪቱን ሥነጽሑፍ ታሪክ ለመረዳት፣ የፈጠራ ሥራዎችን ለማሳደግ፣ ተተኪ ትውልድን ለማፍራት እንዲሁም በዩኒቨርሲቲው የሚካሄደውን የመማር ማስተማር ሂደት የሚያግዝ ጠቃሚ ግንዛቤ እንዲገኝ ማስቻሉም በውይይቱ ወቅት ተገልጿል።
ከዚሁ ጠቀሜታ በመነሳት ገጣሚና ጸሐፌ ተውኔት አያልነህ ሙላቱ ሰፋ ባለ መድረክ ለመላው የዩኒቨርሲቲው ማህበረሰብ ገለፃ እንደሚያቀርብ ሌላ የውይይት መድረክ እንደሚዘጋጅም የቋንቋዎች ትምህርት ኮሌጅ ዲን ዶ/ር በቃሉ አጥናፉ በውይይቱ መድረክ መዝጊያ ላይ ባሰሙት ንግግር አመልክተዋል፡፡

KUE Launches Modern Higher Education Institutional Leadership Training for Academic Officials

(KUE, June 12, 2026) – The Modern Higher Education Institutional Leadership Training for academic officials of Kotebe University of Education commenced with an opening address by the University's President, Dr. Teshome Nekatibeb. In his speech, entitled "The Future Outlook of Kotebe University of Education," Dr. Teshome emphasized that such discussions are essential in guiding the University's future direction. He noted that the institution is actively working to implement comprehensive reforms and stressed the importance of understanding the nature of these reforms, what they encompass, and the preparations required for their successful implementation.

Describing the Academic officials as members of the University's "Reform team," the President stated that academic leaders have accepted the responsibility and commitment to drive institutional transformation. He emphasized that commitment alone is not sufficient; effective reform also requires competence, a clear understanding of the reform agenda, and the capacity to implement change successfully.

Dr. Teshome further explained that the reform process began with the revision of the University's legislation and strategic roadmap. The University first communicated its future direction to the academic community and subsequently appointed a new leadership team. In addition, major institutional documents relating to academic program reform, internationalization, and other core functions were revised to establish a strong legal and operational framework. He noted that these reforms are designed to elevate the University to the desired level of excellence and called upon academic leaders to actively embrace and lead the change process.

Speaking at the opening session, Dr. Tewoderos Mulgeta, Vice President for Research and Community Affairs, stated that the primary objective of the training was to create a common understanding of the University's ongoing reform initiatives. He explained that while some reform activities have already been completed, others remain in progress, making it crucial for academic leaders to engage in meaningful discussions to ensure that the University effectively fulfils its mandate as a distinguished institution of higher learning.

As part of the training program, Professor Joshua Muskin, Senior Programs Adviser at Geneva Global delivered a presentation on the Outcome-Based Approach to Curriculum Development. On the second day, Dr. Dinkuana Nigusa, Deputy Director General of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Education and Training Authority (ETA), facilitated sessions on Accreditation and the Principles of Quality Assurance. Dr. Alebachew Kemiso, Vice President for Academic Affairs, also presented on Academic Programs, Guidelines, and Framework Revisions.

Dr. Alebachew provided participants with an orientation on the rationale behind the KUE Curriculum Development Framework, its underlying philosophy, vision and mission, objectives, and other key components. He explained that Kotebe University of Education's educational philosophy, developed through careful consideration of experiences and best practices from international universities, is grounded in Integrated Humanism operationalized through the Foundation Progressive Adaptive Paradigm. He further noted that this philosophy is systematically reflected throughout the University's revised academic programs, guidelines, and frameworks, extending from the institutional level down to individual teaching departments.

Held from June 11–12, 2026, the two-day Modern Higher Education Institutional Leadership Training brought together the University's Vice Presidents, Directors, Coordinators, and Heads of Academic Departments. The program aimed to strengthen leadership capacity, deepen participants' shared understanding of the University's reform agenda, and reinforce their collective commitment to institutional transformation and academic excellence. The training concluded with participants engaging in extensive discussions and reflections on the presentations and charting ways forward for the effective implementation of the reforms.

(ኮትዩ፣ ሰኔ 2018 ዓ.ም) - ከግንቦት 27 እስከ ሰኔ 03/2018 ድረስ በኢትዮጵያ የባህል ስፖርቶች ፌዴሬሽን እና በኮተቤ የትምህርት ዩኒቨርሲቲ የጋራ ትብብር ከተለያዩ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ለመጡ የስፖርት መምህራን በንድፈ ሃሳብ እና በተግባር ታግዞ ሲሰጥ የቆየው የባህል ስፖርቶች የአሰልጣኝነት እና የዳኝነት ኢንስትራክተርነት ስልጠና በስልጠናው ላይ በአሰልጣኝነት እና በሰልጣኝነት ለተሳተፉ ሰዎች የእውቅና የምስክር ወረቀት እንዲሁም የላቀ ተሳትፎ ላሳዩ ግለሰቦች ሽልማት በመስጠት ተጠናቋል፡፡

በስልጠናው የመዝጊያ ሥነስርዓት ላይ የፌዴሬሽኑ ፕሬዘዳንት ወ/ሮ ሕይወት መሐመድ፣ ባህላዊ ስፖርቶች የመወዳደሪያ ሕጋቸው ተሻሽሎ ከኢትዮጵያም ባለፈ በአፍሪካና በዓለም አቀፍ ደረጃ ተወዳጅ እንዲሆኑ በጥናት ላይ የተመሠረቱ ስራዎች እና የሀገር በቀል እውቀት ውጤት የሆኑትን የባህል ስፖርቶች ይበልጥ ለማሳደግ ከዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ጋር የተጀመረው ትብብር ተጠናክረው እንዲቀጥሉም አብራርተዋል፡፡

የኮተቤ የትምህርት ዩኒቨርሲቲ የሰውነት ማጎልመሻና ስፖርት ኢንስቲትዩት ዲን ዶ/ር ጥላሁን በረደድ በበኩላቸው 85 በመቶ የሚሆነው የሀገሪቱ ህዝብ የሚሳተፍበትን የባህል ስፖርት ለማሳደግ ለባለሙያዎች የሚሰጥ ስልጠና ወሳኝ በመሆኑ የኢትዮጵያ የባህል ስፖርቶች ፌዴሬሽን ይህን ስልጠና በማዘጋጀቱ ምስጋና ይገባዋል ብለዋል፡፡

የኢትዮጵያ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ስፖርት ማህበር ፕሬዘዳንት እና የዩኒቨርቲው መምህር የሆኑት አቶ አባይ በላይሁን ስልጠናው ከፍተኛ ተነሳሽነት የታይበት መሆኑን ገልፀው፣ የባህል ስፖርትን በመላው አፍሪካ ለማስፋፋት ከስልጠና ባሻገርም በጥናትና ምርምር መታገዝ አስፈላጊ በመሆኑ ሰልጣኞች በቀጣይም የባህል ስፖርትን ብሎም ራሳቸውን በዘርፉ ለማሳደግ በባለቤትነት መሳተፍ እንዳለባቸው አመልክተዋል፡፡

በስልጠናው ላይ የተሳተፉት የተለያዩ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች የስፖርት መምህራን በሰጡት አስተያየት ስልጠናው ለሙያቸው በእጅጉ ጠቃሚ ስለነበር በጉጉት መከታተላቸውን እና በቀጣይም የባህል ስፖርትን ለማሳደግ ከስልጠናው ያገኙትን እውቀት በተግባር ላይ እንደሚያውሉ እንዲሁም ሀገር በቀል የሆነውን ይህን የስፖርት ዘርፍ ባህላዊና ታሪካዊ እሴቱን በጠበቀ መልኩ ለማዘመን የበኩላቸውን አስተዋፅኦ የሚያበረክቱ መሆናቸውን ተናግረዋል፡፡

(ኮትዩ፣ ሰኔ 2018 ዓ.ም) - የልምድ ማካፈል መርሐግብሩን በንግግር ያስጀመሩት የአማርኛ ቋንቋ ትምህርት ክፍል ኃላፊ ዶ/ር ስለሺ አባተ፣ ደራሲ፣ አርታኢና ኃያሲ ኃይለመለኮት መዋዕል ከሥነጽሑፍ ሥራዎቻቸው ጋር በተያያዘ ልምዳቸውን፣ እንዲሁም በአሁኑ ጊዜ በድርሰት ሕትመት ዙሪያ ያሉ ተግዳሮቶችን ለመምህራን እንዲያካፍሉ መጋበዛቸውን ገልጸው፤ ደራሲው ግብዣውን አክብረው በመገኘታቸውም ዩኒቨርሲቲው ስም አመስግነዋል፡፡

በመምህርነት እና በመምህራን ማኅበር ፕሬዘዳንትነት ለረጅም ዓመታት ማገልገላቸውን የገለጹት ደራሲ፣ አርታኢና ሃያሲ ኃይለመለኮት መዋዕል፣ አሁን የደረሱበት ደረጃ ለመድረስ ዕድገቱ በፈተናዎች የታጀበ መሆኑን፣ የመጀመሪያውን ሥራ “ኦቴሎ” የተሰኘውን የጸጋዬ ገብረመድኅንን ሥራ በትግርኛ ከመተርጎም ጀምሮ፣ የወዲያነሽ የተሰኘውን ልብወለድ ከ39 ዓመት በኋላ በድጋሚ ለሕትመት እስካበቃበት ድረስ የሠሯቸውን ወጥ እና የትርጉም ሥራዎች በተመለከተ ከሕይወት ገጠመኛቸው ጋር በማዛመድ ለኮሌጁ መምህራን ገለፃ አቅርበዋል፡፡

በተለይም ጉንጉን እና የወዲያነሽ በተሰኙት ሥራዎቻቸው በኢትዮጵያ የሥነጽሑፍ ታሪክ ውስጥ በጉልህ የሚጠቀሱት ኃይለመለኮት መዋዕል፣ ከድርሰት ሥራዎች ጎን ለጎን በተርጓሚነት እና በአርታኢነት ማገልገላቸውን በሚያስደምም ንግግር እና የቋንቋ ለዛ ለመምህራኑ አብራርተዋል፡፡

College of Business, Technology and Vocational Education Holds Research Symposium

(KUE, June 2026) – The College of Business, Technology and Vocational Education successfully held a research symposium completed thematic research projects and promote academic discussion among faculty members.

Speaking at the opening of the symposium, Dr. Teshome Tolcha, Director of the Research, Publication, Ethics and Dissemination Directorate, noted that the College of Business, Technology and Vocational Education is the first college within the university to organize a research symposium at the college level, marking a departure from the previous practice of conducting such events centrally. He added that the earlier research management process had been delayed due to its manual nature and efforts are being made so that challenges related to research financing, reporting, and quality assurance by introducing an online system.

Dean of the College of Business, Technology and Vocational Education, Dr. Yifru Waktole, reported that a total of 19 research projects were commissioned by during the 2017 Ethiopian Fiscal Year. These included 15 thematic research projects, three women-focused research projects, and one grand research project. Of the completed thematic studies, 11 were selected and presented during the symposium.

The presented 11 research were discussed by faculty members, who provided scholarly comments and constructive feedback aimed at enhancing the quality and impact of the research findings.

AI-Enhanced Pedagogy Training for KUE Faculty Begins

(KUE, June 2026) – Kotebe University of Education (KUE), in collaboration with the United States Embassy in Addis Ababa, has launched a ten-day professional development training program titled “AI-Enhanced Pedagogy” for university faculty members. The training is running from June 8–18, 2026.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Teshome Nekatibeb, President of Kotebe University of Education, highlighted the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on modern society. He noted that AI is revolutionizing the way people live, work, and think, just as previous technological innovations—such as radio, television, and computers—transformed human life. While technology has long played a role in education, he emphasized that AI is now reshaping the future of teaching and learning in unprecedented ways.
Dr. Teshome acknowledged that educators are still gaining experience in the effective use of AI technologies and encouraged participants to engage actively in the training to apply the knowledge and skills they acquire. He stressed that AI can make a significant contribution to improving educational quality, expanding access to learning resources, enhancing teaching effectiveness, and supporting student success.

Addressing the participants, Jonathan Koehler, Acting Public Affairs Counsellor at the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, emphasized that AI should be viewed as a co-teacher rather than a replacement for educators. He stated that AI can strengthen a teacher's professional competence and expertise, but it can never replace the human connection that lies at the heart of quality education. He further noted that the ethical and responsible use of AI is a central component of the program. Describing the initiative as a direct investment in Ethiopia’s digital literacy, critical thinking capacity, and workforce readiness, he encouraged participants to take full advantage of the opportunity and participate actively.

The lead trainer, Professor Nega Worku Debela, an internationally experienced English Language Specialist, is facilitating the workshop titled, “AI in Practice: A Professional Workshop on Strategic Objectives, Core Theories, Hands-On Demonstrations, and Active Participant Involvement.” This intensive professional development program is designed to equip educators with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to integrate AI into teaching and learning effectively, ethically, and responsibly.
Professor Nega explained that the workshop integrates strategic objectives, foundational AI concepts, hands-on demonstrations, and active participant engagement. The training covers key topics such as AI ethics, privacy, academic integrity, transparency, data security, algorithmic bias, AI hallucinations, environmental sustainability, and AI policy. Through interactive activities, mini-application development, e-portfolios, worksheets, assessment tools, and AI-powered resources for teaching listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar, participants gain practical experience in designing innovative learning materials while enhancing their digital literacy skills.

The opening session was attended by Dr. Alebachew Kemiso, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and other faculty members of the university. The session was facilitated by Dr. Teshome Kondale, Director of the In-Service Training Institute, and the program was introduced by Dr. Dejen Chaka.

(ኮትዩ፣ ግንቦት 27 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም) - የኢትዮጵያ የባህል ስፖርቶች ፌዴሬሽን ከኮተቤ የትምህርት ዩኒቨርሲቲ ጋር በመተባበር ለዩኒቨርሲቲ መምህራን ያዘጋጀው ስልጠና በተጀመረበት ወቅት የፌዴሬሽኑ ፕሬዘዳንት ወ/ሮ ሕይወት መሐመድ፣ ፌዴሬሽኑ ጥራታቸውን የጠበቁ ስልጠናዎች እና ውድድሮች እንዲካሄዱ ከማድረግ በተጨማሪ የአፍሪካ የባህል ስፖርቶች አባል እንዲሁም የመጀመሪያውን የአፍሪካ የባህል ስፖርት ፌስቲቫል ለማዘጋጀት ዕድሉን በመወሰድ በርካታ ሥራዎችን እየሠራ መሆኑ ለባህል ስፖርት ትልቅ ዕድገት መሆኑን ገልፀው፣ ከተለያዩ ባለድርሻ አካላት ጋር በመተባበርም የባህል ስፖርት እንዲጎለብት እያደረገ መሆኑን እና ይህም ስልጠና የዚሁ አካል ስለሆነ በስልጠናው ዝግጅት የተባበረውን ኮተቤ የትምህርት ዩኒቨርሲቲ እና በስልጠናው ላይ የተሳተፉ መምህራንን አመስግነዋል፡፡

የኮተቤ የትምህርት ዩኒቨርሲቲ የአካዳሚክ ጉዳዮች ም/ፕሬዘዳንት ልዩ ረዳት ዶ/ር መስፍን ደጀኔ ባሰሙት የእንኳን ደህና መጣችሁ ንግግር፣ ከባህላዊ ስፖርቶች ጋር የተያያዘው ይህ ስልጠና በእጅጉ ጠቃሚ በመሆኑ ስልጠናውን ያዘጋጁትን የባህል ስፖርቶች ፌዴሬሽን፣ ከኮተቤ የትምህርት ዩኒቨርሲቲ እንዲሁም የዩኒቨርሲቲውን የሰውነት ማጎልመሻና ስፖርት ኢንስቲትዩት አመስግነው ሰልጣኞችም ይህን ጠቃሚ ስልጠና በንቃት እንዲከታተሉ በማሳሰብ ስልጠናውን በይፋ ከፍተዋል፡፡

የኢትዮጵያ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ስፖርት ማኅበር ፕሬዘዳንት እና የዩኒቨርሲቲው መምህር የሆኑት አቶ አባይ በላይሁን፣ የኢትዮጵያ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ስፖርት ማኅበር እና የባህል ስፖርቶች ፌዴሬሽን በቅርበት አብረው የሚሰሩ ሀገር አቀፍ ተቋማት በመሆናቸው ስፖርታዊ ውጤት መመዝገቡን በመጥቀስ፣ ስልጠናው የባህል ስፖርት እንዲያድግና እንዲስፋፋ ትልቅ ዋጋ ስላለው ከሰርተፍኬት ባሻገር ከስልጠና ባገኙት እውቀት በዘርፉ የራሳቸውን አስተዋፅኦ እንዲያበረክቱ አመልክተዋል፡፡

ለዩኒቨርሲቲ መምህራን የተዘጋጀው ይህ የባህል ስፖርቶች የአሰልጣኝነት እና የዳኝነት ኢንስትራክተርነት ስልጠና ከግንቦት 27 እስከ ሰኔ 04 ድረስ የሚሰጥ ሲሆን፣ ከተለያዩ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች የመጡ መምህራን በስልጠናው ይሳተፋሉ።
