Each day begins with service, discipline, and care for our community. Our single students rise early to carry out their morning duties, sweeping, cleaning, and most importantly, tending the farm plots.
Through weeding and cultivating the soil, they learn patience, stewardship, and the value of hard work. These simple acts of farming are not just about food production; they are about shaping hearts and minds for ministry. Formation here is lived out in the rhythm of daily service, reminding us that leadership in the Church begins with humility and care for God’s creation.
🙏 May these morning duties continue to nurture servant leaders who embody discipline and responsibility.

Davuilevu Theological College Holy Communion & Worship Service
Today, the community gathered in reverence as Matasiga 2 led us in worship, with the Word preached powerfully by Rev. Taniela Baleinakorodawa .
📖 Bible Reading: Genesis 2:18–25
Theme: Na Lidi ni Buka Vakawaletaki (Ignore Little Spark of Fire)
The reflection reminded us that even the smallest spark, if ignored, can grow into a huge fire. In the context of marriage and sexuality, we were challenged to nurture relationships with love, respect, and holiness guarding against destructive behaviors that begin subtly but can devastate lives if left unchecked.
This message resonates deeply with the realities we face in Fiji today, where the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions continues to report troubling cases of r**e and sexual violence. As Christians, we are called to stand against such sin, to protect the vulnerable, and to uphold God’s design for dignity and covenant in marriage.
May we be vigilant in our faith, courageous in our witness, and compassionate in our actions ensuring that no “little spark” of harm is ignored, but instead extinguished with truth, justice, and love.

Holy Communion & Worship Service @ Davuilevu Theological College.
This morning, Matasiga 5 led us in a spirit filled service of Holy Communion and worship, reminding us of the joy of fellowship in Christ.
We were blessed by a powerful sermon from Rev. Josaia Betomakita, who spoke on today’s theme:
“Avoid Regret When You Are Late."
This message was woven into the overall theme of the week: "Elevating Christianity to a New Level",a call for us to rise higher in faith and commitment.
📖The Scripture reading came from Song of Solomon 5:1–6, urging us to be attentive to God’s timing and presence, lest we miss His call.
🙏 May we continue to walk faithfully, embracing the fullness of Christ’s invitation without delay.

Devotion & Opening of the New Academic Term
This morning at Davuilevu Theological College, we began our new academic term with a spirit filled devotion.
Rev’d Sekope Waqa offered a short reflection, reminding us of the power of faith through the Holy Spirit. He echoed the words of Peter Boehler to John Wesley: “Preach faith until you have faith.”
Our Principal, in his opening address, encouraged us with the assurance that the Grace of God never fails, a truth that sustains us as we step into this new season of learning and service.
🙏 May this term be marked by faith, perseverance, and the unfailing grace of God.
