Joining ISS in Term 3: Mr Chris Scott, Head of Secondary

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Chris Scott as our new Head of Secondary, commencing in Term 3.

Mr Scott brings over 17 years of international educational leadership experience gained across schools in the United Kingdom, United States, China, Cambodia, and the United Arab Emirates. Throughout his career, he has been committed to creating learning environments where students feel valued, challenged, and supported to achieve their personal best.

We look forward to the leadership, experience, and vision he will bring to our Secondary School and are excited to welcome Mr Scott and his family to Fiji and the ISS community.

As Term 2 came to a close, our school community gathered for a heartfelt Farewell Assembly to celebrate the end of another wonderful chapter at ISS.

The assembly was filled with moments of gratitude, reflection, and celebration as we recognised students and staff who will be leaving our community and wished them every success in their next adventures. We were treated to a beautiful meke performance by our Primary students, enjoyed important updates from our PTA, and took time to celebrate the many achievements and memories that have made this term so special.

While farewells are never easy, they remind us of the friendships, connections, and experiences that make our ISS community so unique. We thank everyone who has been part of our journey this term and wish our departing students and staff all the very best for the future.

Have a safe, restful, and enjoyable holiday break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 3!

And just like that, the curtain has closed on Shrek Jr., The Not-So-Fairy-Tale Musical.

Over the past three nights, nearly 1500 audience members joined us to celebrate the talent, courage and creativity of our students. What began as rehearsals, line readings, dance practices, and long afternoons has transformed into something truly special—a production that brought our community together and created memories that will last a lifetime.

To our cast, crew, musicians, directors, choreographers, teachers and parents: thank you. Your belief in our students made every moment on stage possible.
To our students: thank you for your bravery, commitment, and willingness to shine.

We could not be prouder of what you have accomplished.
And to our audience, thank you for filling the MPH with laughter, applause and encouragement.

The stage lights may be off, but the memories will remain.

Earlier this week, our Year 3 students welcomed families to a wonderful Open Morning as they showcased their learning from the Unit of Inquiry, How We Express Ourselves.

Through Meke, poetry, narrative writing, language presentations in Fijian and Hindi, and stunning visual arts, students explored the many ways people express ideas, emotions, culture, and identity.

It was inspiring to see our students confidently share their learning and creativity, demonstrating meaningful connections across multiple subject areas. The morning was a true celebration of student voice, cultural diversity, and the power of the arts.

Congratulations to our Year 3 students and teachers on a fantastic showcase of learning!
