✈️ On 18 May 2026, EUBCE 2026 hosted a closed-door roundtable at the World Forum The Hague, convening global leaders from government, finance, and industry to map out actionable strategies for ( ) deployment.
The discussion focused heavily on moving from policy design to ex*****on.
Here are the core outcomes:
🪴 Feedstock Diversity & Energy Security: Utilizing local, diverse feedstocks stabilizes jet fuel security and minimizes price volatility. Leveraging existing refining capacity offers a vital short-term bridge while longer-term, advanced SAF pathways mature.
📈 Balancing Supply & Demand Policies: Success requires a dual approach. Demand policies create market certainty to de-risk projects, while supply policies provide cash-flow visibility—crucial for attracting investors and funding future innovation.
💲 Closing the Cost Gap: SAF’s primary hurdle remains its cost spread against conventional jet fuel. To lower the cost of capital, we must blend public financing with fiscal incentives and price-guaranteed offtake agreements, while leaning on the energy industry’s leadership to scale private funding.
🌏 A special regional spotlight also delved into emerging production and supply chain opportunities within the Philippine Biofuels and SAF Industry.
🤝 Thank you to all of our international participants for driving these crucial, forward-looking insights!
