Yesterday evening at the Opera National de Paris was a night to remember! We watched La Travaiata, an iconic opera about forbidden love, filled with heart wrenching moments and powerful songs. Though written in the 19th century, last night’s rendition of the opera had a fun modern twist 🎭

At this English-language bookstore in the heart of Paris, lines to enter often stretch out the door. How has it gained this legendary reputation, you may ask? Well since its opening in 1951, it’s been frequented by famous anglophone writers and thinkers. We explored this cozy store yesterday and also attended a talk by the Indian poet Meena Kandasamy 🎤

Your ideal Saturday afternoon may not include a cemetery visit, but here in Paris, there’s one resting place that deserves a long visit. We headed to Père Lachaise cemetery, the resting place of celebrities like Molière, Chopin and even Jim Morrison. The visit was even better thanks to the International Club of Paris’ excellent tour guide!

Quick selfie before one of our favorite Paris activities …. Watching a film! We headed to Cinema Le Balzac to catch the movie “C’est quoi l’amour?” It was a feel-good romcom, as well as a modern example of exceptional French filmmaking 🎬

It was an enchanting Thursday evening at Musée d’Orsay, when we visited the museum for one of their special concerts. Not only was there a full orchestra, the talented singer performed pieces from both France and Spain. We can’t wait for the next one!
