“This wait felt particularly long!”

When I moved to France in 2017, my decade long career as a clinical psychologist came to a halt. I’d started losing hope. It took us almost 7 years to finally receive what i deserved…the title of a professional of mental health in France 🥳

For me this is an emotional story of patience, hopelessness, hard work, hope and celebration! The wait was not only limited to getting ‘titre du psychologue’. It meant having only 3 clients over first 3 months and being stood up by clients too. Sitting through all the worries and doubts until they quietened wasn’t easy or even enough. Taking actions each day with the leap of faith I finished 1 year since I started my practice as a psychologist.

Some visuals with this post represent an incessant series of manifestations of multiple aspects of the professional life I developed over the past year ✨ It’s not just a welcoming space but an extension of who I am in doing what I love ☺️

My heart is filled with the sense of belonging, fulfillment and gratitude. I finally feel well aligned with my IKIGAI. During this one round around the sun, I witnessed and welcomed the sun rays, storms, chirping of birds and first rays of moon…from the little window of my office.
As I celebrate this milestone, I wish to thank all those people who stood by me through their faith, support, friendship and love 🫶🏽
