Last week, Film and Visual Culture's very own Dr Alejandra Rodríguez-Remedi was in Alberta, Canada, representing the University of Aberdeen's Centre for Citizenship, Civil Society and Rule of Law at the 'Building the Present We Want' Annual Meeting 2026 of the Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes (CHCI) held at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Heartfelt thanks to the CHCI for its generosity in awarding Alejandra a scholarship to attend its conference. In these photos, she is pictured with fellow scholarship beneficiaries. A big shoutout to Lauren Pearson, Diane Sugimoto Soper and everyone else in the CHCI team who worked hard to make Alejandra’s visit so fruitful! University of Aberdeen University of Aberdeen LLMVC
