Today, Fitzharrys welcomed almost 20 employers into the school hall as part of our careers programme. Year 10 were able to practice their interview skills using the CVs they made as part of careers week. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with employers saying our year 10s were 'inspirational' lovely young people who gave hope for the future. Well done year 10! This was a challenge you all rose to brilliantly and can be very proud of yourselves.

Yesterday, we were lucky to have Innocent from Trinity College, Oxford University, who delivered our Personal Development session with the Year 12 cohort on Personal Statements. She then did a Super Curricular Interactive Workshop with those who wanted to attend.
It was brilliant, and we were grateful she gave her time to support JMF6.

The school council's Active Travel Fortnight initiative began today with a lunchtime walk around the school field, marking the average distance students live from school and highlighting the practicality, and health and social benefits, of walking. Each day for the next two weeks, students are reporting to tutors how they have got to school; each time a tutor group hits the 60% target our Harrier icon will move a space on our beautiful Fitzharrys Game Board, made by Mr Miles. There is a choose your own adventure where numbers of active journeys determine decisions for the characters. Finally, any student who gets to school by active means over the next two weeks will win a leaf badge chosen by the school council. They have worked incredibly hard on this project.

Friday night's drama showcase was a superb performance of the original play Blue, by our very own Ms Lancaster, alongside a series of Shakespeare monologues and duologues. The performers and the tech and backstage teams were brilliant: congratulations to all involved.
