We had a fabulous time on our farm walk on Friday, visiting all of the animals on the farm. We saw the ducks, hens, cows, goats and of course Dora the sheep!

We have been exploring the life cycle of a frog from egg to adult frog. We have learnt some new vocabulary; Frog Spawn, Tadpole, Tadpole with legs, Froglet, Amphibian and Metamorphosis. We have observed real tadpoles in the classroom and discussed how frogs adapt to their environment and the importance of caring for nature. We have learnt about the parts of a frog and discussed the differences between fore legs and hind legs.

As part of our topic this week on the life cycle of a chicken we collected eggs with Alice and looked at her chickens and baby chicks! We are incubating eggs in the Swallows classroom too.
