We all got wet before we started but we did what we set out to do and paddled on New Years day. Even the rain and high winds couldn't stop us :)

Anyone up for a last pre Christmas Paddle on Sunday 22nd Dec at Stratford Weir?? Meet at the Rec Car park as usual and paddle either on the main river or weir depending on conditions for a while then the plan for those with a bit of time spare is to find something to scoff in Stratford.

Anyone fancy paddling the Legacy course at Lee Valley Whitewater centre on Sunday 15th December? There are a few slots left for the induction course that is necessary before being permitted to paddle at the centre. Cost for this is £10.oo. We are looking at trying to get on the 1100am induction course so there's time for a couple of hours paddling after getting signed on. Anyone interested please contact "Grunt" (Michael Punter) so we can work out numbers interested and get booked in.

Anyone fancy a paddle at Stratford Upon Avon on Sunday 8th December? The waters at a great level for playing around on and learning. We already paddled today (Saturday 7th) and had a great time. If anyone wants to go please contact Jim Maynard from the club via Facebook or on the Cherwell Canoe Club members email contacts listing. He is a definte so just contact him as he doesn't want to paddle there without someone else.

An action packed 3 hours exclusive use of the Nene Whitewater Centre plus some fantastic coaching from Chris Chapman. After the session I think everyone was exhausted and got a ton of paddling done in the time. Plus we got to top up our energy levels with Dots home made Mince Pies ummmm. Don't worry if you missed this one there will be another in the springtime so you can get your skills up for the summer.

Message for all those that were coming to the Usk trip this weekend (19th Oct). We are unfortunatley going to cancel the trip as there is only a small number of folks wanting to go. It will be rescheduled soon and hopefully a few more will want to come along for a paddle.
