Today our 2-5’s have been busy making different woodland creatures using autumn leaves.🍁🍂 this has supported their imagination as well as supporting all of the learning we have been doing about the different seasons!

Last week our Nest children (0-2’s) went out on a walk to the park to look for the first signs of Autumn! They found lots of scrunchy leaves and conkers and enjoyed listening to the birds in the aviary.

I have worked with children of all ages, all around the world, for over twenty years now and love seeing their faces when they figure out new skills. After having my own child, I stepped back into working in Nurseries and I’m so happy to have found SmartTots Day Nursery, where I’ve been for over three years now. I love working in The Nest and I’m usually singing nursery rhymes, reading books with silly voices, and creating messy sensory trays for the children to explore.

We had a brilliant time meeting lots of different insects and reptiles when ZooLabs came to visit us! The children were so engaged in this wonderful learning experience, and some of the children were brave enough to get up close and personal with the animals!🐍
