Our Fifth Form looked absolutely fantastic at their Prom on Wednesday evening at Dovecote Barn.
After working so hard throughout their exams, it was wonderful to see everyone dressed up, looking their best and enjoying the evening. There was a brilliant atmosphere throughout the night, with plenty of smiles and laughter. It was lovely to see everyone celebrating together after such a busy few months.
Keep an eye on our Flickr page – the full album will be available very soon. 📸

Another successful year of the Bloxham Sustainability Project.
A huge congratulations to all schools that took part this year — the standard of work was exceptionally high, making judging both challenging and extremely rewarding.
Final presentations were held on Monday 8 June at Dalcour Maclaren headquarters in Bicester, with seven schools showcasing outstanding ideas, research and innovation.
A big thank you to our judges — Richard Greaves, Saantha Yates, Simon Navin, Lewis Robinson and Xenia Purcell — as well as all the teachers and supporters who make this project possible.
🏆 Winner: Amersham School
⭐ Highly Commended: Maidstone Grammar School for Girls
⭐ Commended: Bloxham School
🎓 Certificates of Excellence:
The Warriner School, Stratford Girls’ Grammar School, The Maplesden Noakes School, Bournemouth School
This project is so valuable because it gives students the opportunity to engage with real-world sustainability challenges, develop critical thinking and technical skills, and apply classroom learning to authentic, future-focused scenarios.
Dr Claire Evans reflected:
"The standard of work we saw on Monday was genuinely outstanding... This is what education-industry collaboration can achieve... None of this happens without you."
A huge thank you to everyone involved — and congratulations to all students for an incredible year 🌍💚

And some more exciting rugby news to celebrate! 🏉
A huge congratulations to Junior and Ben, Upper Sixth students in Seymour and Crake, who have both signed professional contracts with Gloucester Rugby.
Since joining Bloxham in Exham, Junior has been a huge part of rugby life at the School. His commitment, work ethic and performances over the years have been outstanding, and it has been fantastic to watch his journey develop. Through years of hard work and determination, he has progressed through the England pathway, earning multiple age grade caps and international call ups along the way. His achievements are a reflection of the dedication he brings both on and off the field.
Ben, who joined us in Fourth Form, has also made a big impact during his time at Bloxham. His resilience, hard work and passion for the game have helped him grow into the player he is today. Having also represented Canada Rugby at Under 20 level during his time at School, this latest achievement is another deserved milestone in his rugby journey.
Both players have contributed so much to rugby at Bloxham. Everyone at Bloxham is incredibly proud of everything Junior and Ben have achieved and is excited to follow their journeys as they begin this next chapter with Gloucester Rugby. We have no doubt they will continue to make their mark in the professional game.
Congratulations, Junior and Ben we can't wait to see what comes next! 🔴⚪

A huge congratulations to Sonny, Upper Sixth student in Wilson, who signed his first professional contract with Northampton Saints over the weekend! 🏉
Part of the Saints Academy since 2020, Sonny has worked incredibly hard to earn this opportunity. Having played across the backline before settling at scrum-half, he has captained Northampton Saints in the Academy League on multiple occasions this season and has also represented England at Under 18 level.
A key part of rugby life at Bloxham throughout his time here, Sonny's success is a reflection of his commitment and passion for the game. We are incredibly proud of everything he has achieved and look forward to following his journey as he takes this exciting next step in his career.
We can't wait to see him out on the pitch in Northampton Saints colours in the years ahead.
Well done, Sonny! 👏

We had such a lovely afternoon yesterday welcoming 43 French students from Collège Ste Marie. It was great to see our students connecting so easily with their French peers through a range of activities that encouraged teamwork, communication and a real sense of cultural exchange.
From baking scones with Mr Harvey and Mrs Tims to decorating French themed biscuits, practising tongue twisters in both languages, and even building famous landmarks using balloons and newspaper, there was a real buzz throughout the afternoon. Over on the courts and pitches, there was plenty of energy too with football and tennis sessions run by the Sports department.
What really stood out was the enthusiasm from everyone involved and how quickly friendships began to form. It felt like one of those afternoons that will stay with the students, and hopefully the start of many more exchanges and shared experiences to come.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring it all together it really was a fantastic afternoon!

It’s been great to welcome Khloe Curnock to Bloxham School today.
Throughout the day, Khloe has spent time in lessons, the gym, boarding houses and around the school community, sharing her experiences as a PhD researcher at Imperial College London, where she works in the Nuclear Engineering Group, alongside competing in powerlifting at both national and international level and running her own business.
This evening, Khloe will be delivering the Eunoia Lecture, speaking about her work in nuclear engineering and the research she is doing to help improve nuclear safety in the UK. She’ll also be giving pupils an insight into studying engineering at university, life as a PhD student and encouraging pupils to explore opportunities in STEM.
A huge thank you to Khloe for taking the time to visit Bloxham and for being such a positive role model for our pupils.
