Meet Scott Tweeddale, Head of Design and Technology at St. George’s School, your Regional D&T Leader for St. Albans and Hertfordshire.

With 10 years of experience leading curriculum development and driving innovation in AI, digital learning and staff CPD, Scott is passionate about supporting teachers and strengthening design and technology across the region. Alongside his work as an ITT tutor and Education Expert for Alban TSH, he has helped grow GCSE and A-Level uptake while achieving exceptional outcomes.

Through the Regional D&T Leaders network, Scott is bringing teachers together to share good practice, explore fresh ideas and build a strong local D&T community.

Yesterday, Ryan Ball attended Bournemouth University’s annual Festival of Design & Engineering, a celebration of creativity, innovation and the next generation of designers and engineers.

Across three days, final year students showcased outstanding work in product design, design engineering and mechanical engineering, sharing the thinking, iteration and technical skills behind their projects. Ryan highlighted several standout projects recognised with industry awards, with many students now preparing to take their work to New Designers next month.
