Kingsfield Nursery

This term we have been busy planting lots of different seeds and beans and learning all about growing and how things change. We enjoyed our annual trip to Warriner Farm to see all of the animals and their babies. 🐄🐑We finished the term celebrating Easter with an egg hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny. We hope you all enjoy the holidays and wish all of our families a very Happy Easter! 🐣🐰

We’ve had such a fun term learning all about people who help us and thinking about how we can all be helpful too, collecting lots of stickers for our rainbow chart! 🌈 The children have enjoyed taking part in lots of craft and number activities about firefighters and singing songs. They loved playing in our fire engine role play area! 🚒 We’ve also been talking about how to look after our teeth, in particular how to brush them carefully twice a day and also about healthy eating.
It’s been a very wet term ☔️ but that hasn’t stopped us getting outside for Forest fun and lots of puddle jumping but we are hoping for some drier weather soon 🤞🏻 We hope you all have a lovely half term week and look forward to welcoming you back on Monday 23rd February.

2026 has got off to a great start at nursery. The children all came back after Christmas really well and have been enjoying learning about how people in the community help us and how we can help each other too. The children were very excited to welcome Noah’s Policeman Daddy into nursery to learn about his job and they loved getting to sit in his police car. Thank you so much for coming to visit us. We have had lots of police themed activities for the children to complete in nursery, making badges, finger printing, painting police cars and we’ve even turned our hospital role play into a police station and jail!

Don’t forget it’s our Kilometres for Kingsfield at 3.30pm this afternoon with refreshments for sale afterwards to raise money for new flooring to get the park open as soon as possible. Bring your family and friends, we hope to see lots of you there 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏃‍♂️

We’ve been having lots of fun this term learning about ourselves and our feelings, families and our senses. We have also enjoyed some seasonal activities and play including scavenger hunts to look for Autumn colours and natural materials, harvest themed crafts and leaf printing. 🍁🍂 The children have all settled really well and are enjoying coming to nursery and exploring all of our activities.

What a brilliant start to the new academic year! We have loved welcoming new and existing families back to Kingsfield Nursery after the summer break and are looking forward to another exciting year ahead! This term we’ll be helping the children settle in, learning our routines and talking all out about ourselves and our families. Here’s to a happy, fun filled term!

And just like that, we’ve reached the end of another school year at Kingsfield!
