The Scholars’ Supper and Tudor-Ed talks - presented by Academic Scholars - will be held on Monday 15th June.

Supper will be served to the Scholars and their parents and guardians in the Dining Hall at 6.00pm. The Tudor-Ed talks, on topics as diverse as black holes to the psychology of music, will be given in the Drama Studio at 7.00pm.

The vast majority of girls have received offers to their destinations of choice, with the breadth of institutions and subjects chosen reflecting the girls’ wide range of interests and ambitions.

We look forward to the girls receiving their results on the 13th August, and continue to support those sitting exams until the 19th June. It goes without saying that we are incredibly proud of the way the girls have approached their revision and exams.

Nine teams took part on the Tudor Astro, with the NOA Ninjas reigning for the second consecutive year. The day was blessed with glorious sunshine, great competition and a lot of laughter. Huge congratulations to all involved.

The Tudor Twisters made a fantastic start to their Cherwell Summer League campaign, securing an impressive 31-3 victory in their first U15 netball match.

Coach Mrs Knapman enthused, “The girls gave a brilliant all-round performance, and achieved a well deserved win to kick off the season. Extra congratulations to Ellie and Morgana who were nominated MVPs.”

Molly (Tiny Todd) has been awarded Musician of the Month for May in recognition of her excellent commitment and contribution to the Music Department at Tudor. She has demonstrated considerable dedication, successfully completing two Trinity examinations on the same day, achieving a Distinction in Singing and an excellent result in Piano.

Throughout the term, Molly has been a valued member of the Junior Choir contributing with enthusiasm.  She also performed as part of the 175 Musicathon, singing and playing the piano, further exemplifying her commitment to the musical life of the School. 

The Music School is always a hub of activity and creativity. Over 140 individual music lessons happen every week; we believe that being able to play an instrument or sing is a fantastic asset, whatever the level of expertise. Pupils gain confidence and intellectual acumen, build spatial and sequencing skills, bond with others in ensembles, and can relax whilst playing their instruments or singing with friends. Music ensembles include: Orchestra, Chamber Choir, Senior Choir, Syncopation (Junior Choir), Flute Ensemble, String Group, Senior and Junior Contemporary Bands and Theory Group.

Our calendar of concerts caters for all musical tastes and enables the girls to perform inhibited in an all-girl environment:

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award participants at Tudor have notched up 1,508 volunteering hours in the past 12 months which has a social value of £11,384.

Tudor girls have volunteered in a huge variety of ways for a range of organisations and causes, including assisting in local care homes and teaching in primary schools, writing letters and being pen-pals with senior citizens, running sporting clubs, supporting the local Brownie pack, assisting in the art, textiles and ceramics departments, dog walking, babysitting and gardening.

To do their DofE Awards, young people choose activities in four sections: improving a Physical and Skills activity, Volunteering for a cause of their choice, and completing a demanding Expedition. Along the way they have fun, grow in resilience and self-belief, discover new talents and passions, and learn practical skills to help them in future.

Tudor’s motto Habeo ut dem - I have that I may give - resonates throughout school life. Opportunities to support others and give back to society include Tudor in Three Continents, roles within the Charity Committee, the Outreach and Enrichment Programme as well as Mentoring and ‘Sixth Form Sisters’.
