This week saw Sports Day for our Yr 1 - 6 pupils! The weather was unpredictable (as always) but this did not dampen the children's determination and spirit! A HUGE well done to all the children that took part - we had lots of school records broken across the two days!
Now we look forward to our FINALS Event on Tuesday where there will be medal ceremonies for Howler Throw & Long Jump and the running heats for Sprint and Long Distance - emails will be sent tomorrow to let you know if your child has qualified!

This week at Hanwell Fields Community School we have been hosting Careers Week where we have had lots of parent volunteers in to speak to our children about their jobs, to inspire our pupils about different career paths! From informative assemblies to hands on workshops, the children have gained a real insight into jobs they may never have heard of before!
So far this week we have had the following assemblies:
- An assembly from a Pilot
- An assembly from a Sonographer
And the following workshops:
- A Prosthetic Workshop
- A Plaster Cast and Bandage Workshop
- A HR Workshop
- A Singing in a Band Workshop
- A Wind Turbine Purchasing Workshop
And we still have lots more booked in!
Thank-you so much to everyone that has offered their time to come in and teach our pupils - they have loved learning about these job roles and have thoroughly enjoyed the variety on offer!

A huge thank-you to everyone that came along to our Community Gardening Day in Half Term!
Mrs Lister said: "It was wonderful to see so many people working collaboratively, showing enthusiasm and commitment to improving our shared outdoor spaces. Your support, time, and effort have made a meaningful difference, and we are very grateful to our families and staff members who took part."
The next session will likely take place on a Saturday - keep your eyes peeled in our weekly Newsletter for the date!!

Today marked Day 5 of our Walking Bus, for Walk to School Week! There has been a fantastic turn out at both locations, come rain or shine for the last 5 school days! We have welcomed new faces as the days have gone along, and had children who have taken part on all 5 days! Parents have joined in, passersby have been very impressed with the idea and overall it has been a wonderful community event for all involved!
We also noticed a huge decrease in traffic around the school roundabout, which was another great positive to the Walking Bus!
Thank-you to everyone that took part! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Last week, Year 6 had a very busy Monday - Thursday sitting their SATS! On Friday, to celebrate them finishing, we headed to The Light for bowling and pizza! They all had a great time - relaxing and socialising with their friends!
They all worked so hard and we are all very proud of them! ๐
