Due to the Met Office Red Weather Warning, some of our partner schools have taken the decision to close or to finish early over the next couple of days.

Please keep an eye on your emails and any communications from your child’s school for the latest updates.

As always, if a school closes, or closes early, High Flyers will be unable to operate.

We completely understand that this may be inconvenient for some families, and we’re very sorry for the disruption. However, the safety and wellbeing of the children, families is the priority.

☀️☀️We hope everyone had a lovely weekend and managed to enjoy some quality time together. With another beautiful week of sunshine ahead, we can’t wait for lots of outdoor fun with the children. ✈️ 🩵

Our team will be making sure everyone stays happy, safe and cool throughout the day with plenty of drinks, regular shade breaks and lots of opportunities to rest out of the sun when needed. There may even be a little water play to help everyone cool down, so don’t be surprised if your child comes home a little damp after all the fun.💦🔫☀️

To help us keep your child comfortable, we’d really appreciate it if you could:

☀️ Apply sun cream (and pop a named bottle in their bag if you’d like us to reapply it)
🧢 Send a named sun hat
💧 Bring a named water bottle (we’ll make sure it’s topped up and children are encouraged to drink regularly)
👕 Dress them in light, comfortable clothing suitable for warm weather

🩵 This week at High Flyers we’ve been celebrating Father’s Day by making cards, gifts and special pieces of artwork, while also talking with the children about gratitude, kindness and the people who help us grow. ☺️

Every family is unique, so today we’re celebrating not only our amazing dads, but also grandads, stepdads, uncles, foster carers, older brothers and all the wonderful father figures and role models who make a positive difference in a child’s life.

To everyone who offers their time, encouragement, support and love, thank you. The impact you have on a child’s confidence, happiness and future is greater than you may ever realise.

☀️ Summer Weather ☀️
With the warm weather set to continue, please help us keep children comfortable and safe in school by ensuring they:
👕 Wear their PE kit (shorts and t-shirt) or summer dress. If they have their PE kit at school, they can wear their uniform in and change when they arrive.
🧢 Bring a hat for playtimes
💧 Have a named water bottle in school every day
🧴 Apply sun cream before school
Children in Years 1–6 may also bring a named sun cream to reapply during the day.

🍩💖 Sometimes it’s the little things that make our day…

When I visited a club yesterday, I mentioned that I’d quite like a doughnut ( they were going to play shops) . A little while later, Andreea surprised me with this beautiful drawing of a chocolate doughnut covered in colourful sprinkles that she had made especially for me. 🍩🎨

What a thoughtful, kind, and caring thing to do. It wasn’t just a drawing, it was a reminder of how incredibly considerate children can be when they feel happy, valued, and confident enough to express themselves.

Moments like these are what make High Flyers so special. We love seeing children’s creativity, watching the friendships and connections that grow every day. ❤️
