Big Barn Build Campaign This term, we’re launching the Big Barn Build Campaign, raising £250,000 to restore one of the buildings on Warriner School Farm.
All the lambs have arrived, and the lambing barn is peaceful and calm. The farm staff office looks very similar!!!😴🐑

Welcome to the Wonders of Warriner School Farm – Year 7 Hub Takeover!
Over the last two weeks, we have been learning more about the ewes and lambs as well as helping to look after them. The umbilical cord breaks when the lamb is born, we dipped the umbilical cord in iodine to help stop spreading of bacteria.
We helped to tag the lambs ears, so they were ready to go in the fields. The ear tag has a number, so you know what farm it belongs to. it also has an individual number for each lamb. It is the law for all lambs to have an ear tag.
We also weighed and fed the lambs and kids. We had to hold the bottle at the right angle otherwise they could drink the air that could make them sick.
Once lambs and mothers have bonded, they are ready to go out to the field. We helped with spraying the numbers on the lambs, to match up with their mothers. We also helped with getting them out to the field today. First, we walked the route to check for hazards and any open gates. Then we had to stand in a line with our arms stretched out to herd the ewes and lambs to the field. Once they are all in the field, the lambs are able to find their mothers.
