Kings Heath Primary School

Chris Haughton spent the afternoon working with our KS2 children, sharing his journey as an author and illustrator and offering a fascinating insight into the creative process behind his books. Chris is the award-winning creator of much-loved children's books including Little Owl Lost, Oh No, George! and Shh! We Have a Plan.

Today, our Year 1 and Year 2 children were incredibly lucky to take part in a very special visit from the talented illustrator Dapo Adeola. It was truly inspiring to see him in action, bringing ideas to life right before our eyes.

The children were captivated by his creativity and enthusiasm, and it was a fantastic opportunity for them to learn more about illustration and storytelling from a real expert. Experiences like this help spark imagination and a love of reading and drawing.

We feel very fortunate to have been able to welcome such an amazing visitor into our school – a day to remember for everyone involved!

We are very lucky at KHPS- How Brave Is The Wren are amazing at organising visiting authors to our school. Today, we were very fortunate to meet and listen to former Children's Laureate, Joseph Coelho! The children (and adults) were mesmerized!
