This week we have been on a jungle adventure. Exploring different patterns and textures including ooblek and cloud dough. The children have enjoyed using their imaginations to creep and stomp through the jungle and discover different animals including “The Tiger Who Came to Tea”.

This week we have been celebrating all things bees and the important job that they do for our world. The children have been building bee hives, looking at colours and patterns, tasting different variety of honeys and having lots of engagement with our own songs and waggle dance. To support our bee population we have taken part in No Mow May and planted bee friendly flowers.

We have been very lucky to be able to create a larger digging and planting area in the garden. Thank you so much to the parents and carers for their donations of spare seeds and plants. The children have been very busy planting seeds and making their own compostable pots. We are very excited to see how our purple carrots grow.

This week the children have been really excited to find more insects in the garden. They have been telling us how to look after them and demonstrating all their learning.

This week we have been learning all about mini beasts. We have been exploring the garden where we have found different creatures both real and small world resources. Our mini explorers have developed a deep curiosity for living things and how to take care of the natural world.

A selection of some of our recent activities and celebrations. These include Lunar New Year, Shrove Tuesday,Holi ,St. Patrick’s Day and World Book Day. We have celebrated, explored, investigated, cooked and created with a variety of media and materials.
