We kicked off our 10th Annual Student Conference with a ‘Mission Impossible’ Team Challenge!
One of the tasks was to invent and perform a team chant featuring at least one specific word. The video shows our winning team — made up of students from across all year groups — performing their brilliant chant together!
Beyond the fun and creativity, activities like these play an important role in helping students build professional relationships, develop teamwork and communication skills, and model the positive professional behaviours that are so important in their future careers. Opportunities to connect across year groups also help strengthen our student community and support preparation for practice beyond university life.
One of our other favourite chants was:
“Step by step, we lead the way,
Laugh a little every day!
Minds awake and spirits high,
Conductive Education — reach the sky!”

One of the things that makes the BA (Hons) course at NICE - Centre for Movement Disorders in partnership with Birmingham City University so special is the way it combines both practical and academic learning. Throughout the course, students develop their knowledge through hands-on experience alongside strong theoretical foundations, creating opportunities to learn in many different ways.
This balance helps students grow not only academically, but also professionally. The course prepares graduates with the skills, confidence, and competence needed to work in real-world settings and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. By the time they graduate, students are well prepared for employment in a range of settings. Our graduates are highly employable, with opportunities to build fulfilling careers that are more than just jobs — they are true vocations.
