👨‍🏫 About the Tutor

Peter – BA (Hons) Graphic Design, Dip AD, P.G.C.E
I am a qualified, primary-trained teacher with over 30 years’ experience in education. After a successful early career as a college lecturer in Art, Design and Illustration, I moved into school teaching, where I have taught learners from nursery age to college level.

I specialise in teaching core subjects, with a clear, supportive, and structured approach.

Maths Specialist

I focus on helping children truly understand numbers and the number system, apply the four operations confidently, and make sense of shape, space, and measure. My approach is to troubleshoot misconceptions, fill gaps in learning, and help children feel secure and capable with maths.

English Specialist

I support children in building strong foundational skills, including letter formation, handwriting, spelling, punctuation, grammar and comprehension. I guide learners to develop their creative writing skills and become confident, capable writers.

SATs Success

I have successfully supported many pupils through KS1 and KS2 SATs, helping them approach the tests with understanding, confidence, and the skills they need to achieve their best.
