Let’s hope the England Football Team have cause to celebrate today just like we do. 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that Hayley, a dedicated member the current Cheeky Cheetah team, has been awarded a prestigious 2026 Silver Teaching Award in their Teaching Assistant category by the Pearson National Teaching Awards.

This incredible recognition places Hayley among the UK's most exceptional educators and means they are now being considered for the overall Gold Teaching Award, which will be announced in late November. She’s 1 of only 5 in her category!

This achievement is a wonderful moment for our school community. We celebrated Hayley this afternoon in a low key affair with her class, families and most importantly children. As well as being a Silver Winner she’s also humble and the best person to provide the presentation of her plaque was a pupil.

The official announcement of all winners and certificate recipients was made public today at 5pm so she features in lots of national news articles.

Congratulations to Hayley!

Did you know this week is Learning Disability Week?

The theme is ‘Do you see me?’ highlighting visibility, inclusion and the value of people with learning disabilities.

Well yesterday Brays did just that……..we went to the National Finals of the Primary Enterprise Challenge and won the KS2 Recognition Award.

Congratulations to the team who represented school so well. We were incredibly proud.

We have some pallets.

We have children with designs and plans for the pallets?

Can you help us make their dream designs become a reality?

We’d love to hear from you.

Wow what a day - Around the World on Diversity Day. 🌍

To be clear, we don’t just have a day to celebrate diversity as it’s woven into our whole curriculum through choice of texts, resources etc and our whole approach to life at school

Today classes took their passports and visited a range of countries / continents through school.

Children visited Mexico where artistic taco making was a success. 🇲🇽

Their trip to the Middle East saw great problem solving as they deciphered their name in Arabic and created dessert scenes using spices.

In Africa children explored Jolof rice and responded to African music playing traditional African instruments.

In North America children made flags and explored a range of music genres including blues and jazz. 🇺🇸 🇨🇦

In Antarctica children felt the freezing temperature of resources (very welcome today).

Europe was a whirlwind whistle stop to Spain, Holland and Italy. Recreating the leaning tower of Pisa was a firm favourite. 🇮🇹 🇳🇱 🇪🇸

Asia saw children visiting both China and Japan working together to create a beautiful blossom tree. 🇯🇵

Australia 🇦🇺 saw children explore Bondi beach and make their own boomerang.

A truly wonderful day living our value of and learning about other countries and cultures.

We’re beyond excited for tomorrow.....

Two of our classes take part in The Primary School Enterprise Challenge.

A small team of finalists will get to represent Brays in Doncaster in on June 16th (an overnight stay on the 15th).

Take a look at the video from last year's final, if you look closely you will see some familiar faces.
