Why not book a session when you're free. You don't need a set session at 4pm every Thursday.

My flexible sessions are £450 for 10 x 1:1

You then look at your child's schedule- when are their mocks, assessments...book all 10 now or as and when you want them.

If your child is moving into Year 10 or Year 11 this September and you'd like them to start the year feeling more confident and better prepared, this session is designed for them.

✓ Understand exactly what examiners are looking for

✓ Learn how to improve their analysis and written responses

✓ Feel confident and prepared for the new academic year

What they'll learn:

• The biggest mistakes students make in GCSE English

• What examiners actually reward

• How to move beyond Point, Evidence, Explain

• What separates a Grade 4 answer from a Grade 7+ answer

• What to focus on over the summer

To ensure everyone receives the joining information and resources in good time, registrations will close at the end of this week while I prepare materials for the session.

One of the quickest ways to improve creative writing is to improve vocabulary.

But not by memorising random words from a thesaurus.

The best writers use ambitious vocabulary alongside sensory imagery, precise verbs and carefully crafted descriptions to create vivid images in the reader's mind.

Compare:

❌ The girl walked down the street.

✅ The girl drifted along the sun-drenched cobbled street, the scent of freshly baked bread lingering in the air as a warm breeze teased loose strands of hair across her face.

Small changes. Big impact.

These are exactly the skills we'll be working on in my GCSE English Summer Accelerator this summer.

📚 Designed for students moving into Years 10 and 11

📚Small groups (maximum 4 students)

📚 Examiner-led feedback

📚 Baseline assessment and personalised targets

📚 Recordings included

If your child wants to enter the new school year feeling more confident in English, now is the perfect time to start.

So many students will start the summer completely unaware of what they need to do to improve their GCSE English grade.

Imagine having a clear strategy for improvement over the summer

Remember going on holiday when you were younger and you could get things with your name on?

I gave up looking!

That's why I didn't look at the personalised items yesterday. My cousin found this!

🚨 Is your Year 9 child ready for GCSE English?

Over the last few weeks, I've been assessing students who are moving into Year 10 this September, and one thing has become very clear:
Not all students are starting from the same place.

Some are already analysing language confidently, selecting quotations carefully and writing detailed responses.

Others have gaps in core skills that could make GCSE English much more challenging than it needs to be.

The tricky part?

Many parents don't realise those gaps exist until the first mock results arrive.

As a GCSE English examiner, I see first-hand what separates students who thrive from those who spend Years 10 and 11 trying to catch up.

That's why I'm running a FREE GCSE English Success Session for students moving into Year 10 and Year 11.

In this session, I'll share:

✔ What examiners are really looking for
✔ The biggest mistakes that cost students marks
✔ The difference between Grade 4 and Grade 7+ responses
✔ What students can do now to start September with confidence

📅 Friday 3rd July
🕕 6pm - 7pm
💻 Online
🎟 Completely FREE

If your child is moving into Year 10 or Year 11 this September, this is a session not to miss.
