👕🧤🧢The lost property boxes outside Rainbow Room & Sunshine Room will continue as we still have an awful lot left! Please check if any of it belongs to your child. We will not be keeping the contents much longer. 🧢🧤👕

💧Raindrops Room - This week we will be getting 🏉⚽️🏀🎳sporty! To coincide with ⚽️The World Cup, we will be doing lots of sports & football fun!
We will be decorating 🏅medals, doing some 🏃exercise on the wooden rocker & on obstacle courses, using lots of physical movements. We will also be exploring a ⚽️football tuff tray, scooping, pouring, filling & emptying black rice & black beans using different tools💧

🌈 Rainbow Room - This week we are going to be getting 🏃🏀🏓sporty! We will be making 🥇medals, adding some lovely designs to make them unique. We will be exploring a ⚽️football tuff tray with a variety of media, and using scoops, bowls, spoons etc to tip, fill, pour & scoop🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
We will be enjoying a variety of physical activities, like obstacle courses, bean bag toss, egg and spoon races, and jumping in ⭕️hoops and tunnels.
This week we will be finishing off our 👨🏼Fathers Day cards and lovely gifts. We really hope all the Daddies love their 🩵surprises! 🌈

☀️Sunshine Room - This week we will be getting 🏀⚽️🏃🎳sporty! Each day we will be doing different sporting activities or exercises, like 🕺💃dancing, obstacle courses, 🪂parachute games, bean bag challenges, 🥅penalty shoot outs & hooplas!
We will be making ⚽️footballs, designing football shirts, playing mini games of ⚽️football & ✍️drawing footballs. We will be making 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿England flags, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿England biscuits, and having our faces painted with little 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿England flags. We will play ⚽️football snap, ⚽️football bingo as well as counting ⚽️footballs & matching ⚽️footballs to the right numbered ball. ☀️

💧Raindrops Room - This week, we are going under the 🐟🐡⚓️🐙sea! We will be enjoying lots of water play with 🐠fish and 🧜‍♀️🦀🪼sea creatures, and we will enjoy the Happyland Seaside Small world toys. We will be making hand print 🦀crabs and 🐙octopus pictures using cheerios for their tentacles. This will really help our fine motor skills. We will enjoy the soft play and construct with the stickle bricks. 💧

🌈 Rainbow Room - This week we are going to go under the 🐙🪼🐠sea! We will be reading 🌊sea stories and exploring “The Rainbow 🐠Fish” tuff tray. We will be sorting coloured sea 🐙🪼creatures into the right coloured bowls and making sea creatures from the playdough. We will be decorating 🐠fish shaped paper plates with coloured paper and using tin foil for a special ✨sparkly scale, just like the Rainbow Fish. We will also be carrying on with our 💙Father’s Day Surprises! Tuesday & Friday will also see us enjoying Auntie Terri’s hot 🍕🍛dinners! 🌈

☀️Sunshine Room - This week we will be getting healthy! We will be enjoying Auntie Terri’s hot 🍕🍲🍛dinners for the last time & alongside that will learn & think about foods that are 🥗🥕🍎good for us & foods that are 🍔🍫🍩unhealthy. We will be focusing on the story of “Oliver’s Vegetables” & will play games & do some counting & matching to correspond with the 📗book. We will be sorting, counting & matching 🍎🍌🍒fruits & 🥬🥕🥦vegetables, making 🍌🍓🍇🥝fruit kebabs for snack, ✍️writing fruit words, printing with 🥦🥔🍠vegetables & practising our 🔪cutting skills in the vegetables tuff tray. We will be making healthy eating 🍽️plates & menus. Our sounds of the week are ‘v’, ‘d’ & ‘y’☀️

💧Raindrops Room - This week, we are learning about the 🌊🏖️seaside! Maybe some of you have been to the seaside in the half term break?!
We will be exploring the kinetic sand & making shapes, reading seaside stories and ⛺️camping in the dark tent and having a 🥪🥙picnic!
We will be exploring the 🐚seaside small world toys in the tuff tray with 💦water and 🐚shells and we will be making 🩴flip flop footprints! 💧

🌈 Rainbow Room - This week we are going to be learning all about the 🏖️🌊seaside! Maybe some of you have visited the seaside in the half term break?!
We will be exploring the 🍦ice cream playdough, using ice cream scoops, tubs & 🍦cones!
We will enjoy the Happyland 🏖️Beach toys, play on the seesaws, and pretend to be ice cream people with the 🍦ice cream truck in the home corner. We will explore the 🏖️sand & shaving foam in the tuff trays and we will have a lovely beach scene with beach towels, 👒sun hats & 🕶️sunglasses!
We will be designing our own 🍭lollies, making seaside 🦀crab pictures and start our 💙Fathers Day surprises! 🌈

☀️Sunshine Room - This week we will be going 🐟⚓️🐙🧜‍♀️🪸Under the Sea! We will be making sea creatures in the playdough, making 🐡🐠fish cork pictures, exploring 🪼jelly sea, making 🐠🐟fish collages & painting an under the 🌅sea scene on cling film. We will be making paper plate 🪼jelly fish, working on our ✂️cutting skills, matching 🐟🦀sea creatures to 🔢numbers & learning sea creatures names. We will be ordering 🐠🐟🐡fish by size, 📘reading "Commotion in Ocean" & playing ⚓️🪸🧜‍♀️sea bingo! Our sounds of the week are 'u’, ‘o’ & ‘q’☀️

🐝Having fun in Nursery today, learning all about bees. We’ve had a great day! 🐝

🌈☀️ Welcome to week 6!
Don’t forget we break up on Friday for half term & return on Monday 1st June 🥰

🦋Our lovely little caterpillars all cocooned successfully & have all turned into butterflies. We have let them all go now, off into the world. It’s been lovely seeing the children’s enjoyment at all the different stages of the life cycle🦋

💧Raindrops Room - This week, we are learning about different types of ☔️⛈️🌈weather. We will be doing some 🌧️rain cloud painting, using cotton wool for ☁️clouds & finger prints for the 💧rain.
We will be reading the “Rain story” and singing some weather stories. We will be playing with Peppa Pig and the 🦖dinosaurs and do some physical activity on the wooden rocker. 💧

🌈 Rainbow Room - This week we are going to be learning all about the 🌧️🌈☁️weather!
We will be talking about the different types of weather, and we will be making weather 🕣clocks so we can record the weather each day. We will explore different types of weather in the tuff tray – making 🌨️snow from cotton wool balls, watching shaving foam ☁️clouds “rain”☔️ We will do some balancing on the beams, play with Peppa Pig, the 🚀space rockets & toys & the dinosaurs. It's also National 🐝Bee Day on Wednesday, so we will be exploring a special 🐝bee tuff tray and making some beautiful 🐝 bee pictures🌈

☀️Sunshine Room - This week we are back to some more 🦋🐞🦟🪲minibeast learning. We will be exploring a small vivarium of 🐌snails, looking closely at them with the 🔍magnifying glasses & seeing if we can pick out their features to draw an observational ✏️drawing of them. We will be writing minibeast letters & numbers, concentrating on ✍️pen hold & their formations. We will be making our own little 🕷️🐌🐛🐜minibeasts with the playdough, using loose parts. We will match the right number of pegs to the numbered 🕷️spiders, explore the special tuff tray 🪾🍂🌳habitats for minibeasts, make some paper plate 🐞ladybirds & match the right number of cubes to the numbered minibeasts. We will read "Mad About Minibeasts" & draw our favourite, using the right colours, plus we will be sorting minibeasts, depending on whether can 🦋🐞🐝fly or 🐛🕷️🐌not. We will count 🐞ladybird spots & look closely at Auntie Terri's special 🪳🪰minibeasts encased in glass. We will celebrate National 🐝Bee Day on Wednesday, by exploring a special tuff tray, make repeating pattern 🐝bees, make 🐝bee biscuits & match the pollen to the numbered 🐝bees. Some of us will be going down the 🚶‍♂️Flitch Way to 👀look for real Minibeasts, on Friday. Our sounds of the week are 'h', 'm' & 'w'☀️

🌈☀️ A lovely visit this morning from our nurse, Clare. 👩🏼‍⚕️Clare works at Broomfield, so some of you might have seen her in action!

👩🏼‍⚕️ We explored syringes for calpol, bandages, stethoscopes & other equipment you might see a nurse use. Clare had bought some plaster too & some of the children had a go at being plastered!!
