Dear Parents and Carers,
Unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel today’s school fete. Due to the red weather warning in place, a number of our stall holders have withdrawn at short notice, meaning that we are unable to run the event as planned.
We appreciate that many families were looking forward to the fete and apologise for any disappointment this may cause.
The raffle will still go ahead and will be drawn this afternoon at JRI. Winners will be contacted directly and details will also be shared with the school community.
We are pleased to let you know that some of the stalls and activities will be rearranged and incorporated into our event on Friday 18th September, and we will share further details closer to the time.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Kind regards,
Mrs Christian, Miss Harrison and the PTA

Unfortunately, due to the Met Office Red Warning for extreme heat, the inflatables company has informed us that they are not permitted to operate at our Summer Fete on Friday.
As preparations for the fete stalls are already well underway, the event will still go ahead. All stalls will be running as planned for a shorter time period, and the ice cream van will be available until 5:00pm.
To ensure the children still get to enjoy the inflatables, we have arranged an after-school inflatables event on Thursday 18th September. Further information will be shared in due course.
We apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause, but the safety of everyone involved must come first. We hope you will still be able to join us on Friday and support the event.
Thank you for your understanding.

Due to the exceptionally warm weather, we have taken the decision to cancel both the afternoon teacher-led clubs and sports clubs for the rest of the week.
While we have taken steps throughout the day to keep classrooms as cool and comfortable as possible, the temperature within the building increases significantly during the afternoon. By the end of the school day, conditions can become uncomfortably warm for both children and staff, particularly during additional physical activity or extended periods spent indoors.
As a result, all after-school clubs will not take place for the rest of the week. We kindly ask that all children are collected at the normal end of the school day at 3:15 pm.
For parents and carers who have paid for a sports club, we will arrange a refund for this week's session(s). As we are approaching the end of term, there are insufficient remaining weeks to schedule additional replacement sessions.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritise the wellbeing and safety of our pupils and staff during this period of hot weather.

Friday is our school summer fete. We have lots of amazing stalls this year and it looks like it's going to be a hot one... There is also My Little Drinks Van attending so will be cold drinks available. Steves Ices will also be there for a nice cold ice cream to cool down.
Inflatable wristbands will be on sale Thursday before and after school and Friday morning, outside the front of the schools. Also Friday after school on the field. It is CASH only for the wristbands and all children must wear socks on the inflatable due to the heat.
All school run stalls will be cash only but outside vendors may take card.
We are looking forward to seeing as many of you there as possible, all proceeds go towards our 2 amazing schools.
Unfortunately it's postponed untill September

Good afternoon,
You may have seen that temperatures are expected to rise next week. Please ensure that your child has a filled water bottle and a named hat. Sun cream should be applied at home before coming to school.
Children are able to come to school in PE kit every day next week (from Monday 22nd June) even if it is not their PE day. Please note this is not 'non uniform'. PE kit is a plain white T-shirt and black shorts / tracksuit trousers.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend
