Today I am inspired by and spinal rolls from Halasana/Plow pose transmission to One legged sitting balance pose. I love dynamic transitions, they can be challenging and this one requires strong core, firm tights and stable feet!
At 50, I am more flexible than I was at 20.
Not because I pushed. Not because I suffered. Because I listened.
For 25 years, my practice has been guided by one rule above all others — ahimsa: non‑violence. Towards others. And towards myself.
I never forced a pose. Never fought my body. Never believed that “no pain, no gain” belongs on a yoga mat.
Instead, I breathed. I waited. I honoured every tight muscle, every hesitant joint, every whisper from my body saying “not today” or “a little deeper now”.
That is the real secret. Not suffering. Sensing.
Most women my age tell me: “I’m too stiff for yoga.”
I say: “You don’t need flexibility to start. You need kindness. Towards yourself. The flexibility comes as a gift — not as a battle.”
Now at 50, I bend deeper than ever. Not because I broke myself into shape. Because I never did.
Come practice with me today. The ahimsa way. No force. No fear. Just you, your breath, and a body that has been waiting for you to truly listen.
