Year 3 had a fantastic day at Noahβs Ark Zoo Farm on Wednesday π¦πΏ
The boys took part in a rainforest workshop, where they impressed everyone with their knowledge and even had the opportunity to see and touch a royal python and a tenrec, a fascinating animal that looks like a hedgehog but is actually related to an elephant! π
They thoroughly enjoyed exploring the zoo and were lucky enough to see lions, giraffes, bears, gibbons, poisonous frogs, and many other amazing animals πΈ
To top off a wonderful day, everyone enjoyed an ice lolly or ice cream before heading home. The perfect ending to a brilliant trip! π¦βοΈ

Just before half term, Mr Thomasβs Horizon group welcomed two special guests for an engaging and hands on CPR and choking awareness session π
OE Ollie Thomas (2010β2019), alongside his Cardiff University medical school colleague Tom Parkin, taught 12 boys the importance of knowing how to respond in an emergency π¨ββοΈ
The boys had the opportunity to put their new skills into practice using training models and particularly enjoyed trying out the choking vest.
A hugely informative session, and we look forward to welcoming Ollie and Tom back to work with more pupils before the end of term π€

All of the boys took part brilliantly, showing real support for one another and celebrating each otherβs success throughout the afternoon. It was especially lovely to see such strong house spirit and encouragement across every event π
A big congratulations to Carr for taking the overall win! π

ππ Happy Global Running Day!
What better way to celebrate than by recognising our brilliant Years 5 and 6 Running Club?
This year, alongside Mr Hall and Mr Ruane, our runners have explored Brandon Hill, navigated the streets of Clifton, and even taken on the infamous Zigzag. Along the way, they have challenged themselves and discovered just how rewarding running can be π
With The Downs still to come, there are plenty more miles, smiles, and personal bests ahead!

Just before half term, one of the highlights of the Year 6 calendar took place, as the boys headed to the fantastic Lifeskills Workshop at Bristol Harbourside. π
Set within an incredibly realistic mini town, complete with roads, shops, houses, cafΓ©s, and even a railway station, the workshop provides pupils the chance to learn and practise important life skills through hands on experiences. Throughout the morning, the boys explored a range of scenarios covering everything from fire safety and first aid to road awareness and making emergency calls. π¦
The boys threw themselves into every activity and represented the school brilliantly. We were especially pleased to hear from the Lifeskills team afterwards, who described them as curious, respectful, and a real credit to the school. β
A fantastic morning, and one the boys will remember for a long time to come. π

Junior School Cooking Club returned for its second session, with the boys enjoying the opportunity to make their own ravioli π
Using fresh pasta sheets, they carefully added the fillings and shaped each ravioli before cooking them under the guidance of Head Chef. The boys showed great focus and care throughout the session, and it was wonderful to see their confidence growing in the kitchen π§βπ³
The afternoon finished in the best way possible, with everyone enjoying a taste of their finished creations, which proved to be a great success all round π΄
