What a brilliant week at Holy Family ππ»!
We are so proud of all of the children this week; particularly Year Three who had an amazing trip to Mojo Active on Wednesday, Year Four who completed their multiplication tables check, and Year One who did their phonics screening check. They have all put in maximum effort and should feel great pride in their accomplishments. A huge thank you to all staff involved in organising and managing these ππ».
There was lots of sporting/out of school success, starting with Demi and Albie who got new belts at kickboxing π₯. We then had swimming awards for Mia, Amara and Aiden, topped off by Michael who got two gold medals at a recent swimming gala ππ»ββοΈ. Alongside this, Freya got a medal at cheerleading π£, Kaleb picked up a trophy and two medals at football β½, Zofia got her Catholic Social Teaching award βοΈ and Zainab got her gold badge at Brownies π¦. Finally, we celebrated Fraser who won 'Cofton's Got Talent' on his half term holiday π€. Well done to all of you!
Our πStars of the Weekπ are Oscar, Mia, Benito, Alexander, Gabriael, Sam, Hanna and Sofia. They have impressed staff with their contributions, perseverance, and readiness to learn. Alexander and Gabriael were recognised for their bravery in overcoming their fears at Mojo. Well done everyone - I look forward to a treat next week πͺ.
We loved starting our home visits for our new September intake this week and are really looking forward to continuing them next week. Itβs always so special to begin getting to know our new families.
As itβs a low birth rate this year, we do still have a few places available for September. If you know anyone who might be looking for a place at a welcoming and nurturing school, please encourage them to get in touch - weβd be delighted to hear from them.
Our Summer Fair is on July 4th, 12-2pm. If you would like a stall to sell your own products, or are able to help out, please contact Mrs Collins ASAP βοΈ.
Have a great weekend!

We've had another fantastic week at Holy Family as we celebrated Holy Week. Year Four started us off on Monday with their Palm Sunday assembly, followed by Year Five's depiction of the Last Supper on Tuesday. We then finished off our celebrations with a wonderful Stations of the Cross service form Year Six. A huge thank you to all parents and other family members who were able to join us for these events which are always a wonderful way to finish the term βοΈ.
We had out of school success with swimming certificates for Robert, Lisie and Oscar πββοΈ; Maya completed some advanced spelling homework π€; Liv getting another cheerleading medal π
; and Ollie picking up Player of the Match at football β½. We also sang Happy Birthday to Nicolas and Teddy π and wished Happy Birthday to everyone who will celebrate it in the holidays.

Penultimate week done! β
What a great week we've had again at Holy Family, with the highlight being our Big Lent Walk for CAFOD on Tuesday. We have been blown away by your generosity in donating to such a great cause - the total is currently Β£537 which is just incredible. Β£231 can feed a family for a year and we have raised over double this which is amazing! A huge thank you to everyone who was able to join us on the walk and raise such a fantastic amount of money for CAFOD. If you haven't donated yet and would like to, you can do so here: https://schools.walk.cafod.org.uk/fundraising/holy-familys-fundraising-page2026. We were also delighted last Friday to have raised over Β£200 for Red Nose Day. It's really moving to be involved in a school community where everyone looks to help those in need - thank you all so much! π
There's been lots of sport going on recently which has been great to see. Our Year 5/6 team finally picked up their first win of the season on Friday, coming away 4-1 winners in a friendly at St Helen's. The boys have worked so hard and have been unlucky in a number of games, so to come away with a fantastic result like this is testament to their resilience and perseverance. Tom and captain Leonel both got two goals and Player of the Match went to Nicholas who was immense both in attack and defence β½. Our netball team had their first ever game on Friday against St Mary's, and whilst the result didn't go our way, they gave a really good account of themselves. Addie got nominated as Player of the Match by the St Mary's players and Elsie got Coach's Player. The netball team also played in a tournament on Wednesday at Yate, with different rules meaning that they had to swap positions every game. Despite people having to play in positions brand new to them, they won 2 out of their 5 fixtures and gave a brilliant account of themselves. A huge thank you to Georgie and Mel for running the club and to Georgie for taking them to fixtures and umpiring π.
We had out of school success this week, with Parker, Beatrice and Tiffany getting certificates at swimming πββοΈ; Kaleb getting Player of the Match at football β½; Lucas getting a new belt at EPiC π₯; Nicola who picked up another medal at gymnastics π€Έ; and finally, Miss McQuaid who got a distinction in her level 3 teaching assistant course π! We are very proud of all of them π.
Our π Stars of the Week π are Harlow, Alicia, Nevaeh, Ryan, Josh, Addie and the whole of Year Six! They have impressed staff with different things such as art work, helping others, contributions in class and hard work in assessments. I look forward to a treat next week πͺ!
Have a great weekend!
