Amazing performances from our 11-12 girls on DMT at the 2nd British qualifier of the season!

Trixie has been working hard on her ex*****on and it really showed! After 3 great passes she beat her qualifying score from Q1 by over a mark 😍

Izzy showed more consistency, sticking her half out and adding in a new more difficult pass to finish the competition in style 💪

Ellen also competed a new pass which is the highest difficulty ever competed by any current Axis gymnast. A massive achievement at just 12 years old!

Unfortunately due to the ongoing extreme temperatures we have had to make the difficult decision to to CLOSE Axis from lunchtime on Monday 22 June and Tuesday 23 June.

The gym can get around 10° hotter than outside which wouldn’t be safe for our gymnasts.

We will continue to closely monitor the weather forecasts and assess conditions within the club before making a decision regarding sessions on Wednesday 24 June and Thursday 25 June. Any further updates will be communicated as soon as possible.

Today 9 of our trampoline and DMT gymnasts headed to Poole for a training day with the South West team! This was a chance to meet their other SW teammates and get to know the coaches. An exciting opportunity and a fantastic achievement! Next they will compete for the SW in the Utilita Area in Birmingham 🤩 Well done team Axis!

Another great day at English Q2! First up Ellen earned a well deserved 🥈 after placing joint 1st in qualifying and joint 1st in the final with the tie break putting her into 2nd. Izzy showed great sportsmanship at this event which we are very proud of!

Lily performed 2 fantastic routines on trampoline which should secure her a spot at English championships 👏🏼

It was Elsa, Nell and Jess’s first English competition and they all performed great passes with lots of PBs and experience gained 💪

Jess finished off the day making the final in a tough group, also getting a great score towards English Championships!

Well done to all the gymnasts for an amazing weekend! 🤩🤩

An amazing start to English Q2 for team Axis!

Jake and Max started the day strong both making the top 4. Max earned the gold medal 🥇 with Jake trying a new PB difficulty pass, nailing it in warm-ups!

The girls took 1st and 3rd in the youth synchro with Izzy and Ellen winning gold 🥇 and a brilliant bronze for Trixie and Elsa 🥉

The girls followed this with fantastic performance in the individual. Great passes from Berry, Drew and Eliza in their first competition of this level. Elsa and Trixie made the final with Trixie taking the bronze medal 🥉

Joe competed on trampoline and showed great perseverance despite spending a long, hot week training away with Rich for his HPC qualification.

Very proud of the whole Axis team today and their amazing support and sportsmanship towards their teammates 🧡🖤
