A huge well done to our walking club after our walk around Rowley on Monday! ☀️🥾
We practised our map-reading skills and searched for different leaves in the hot weather. Everyone worked incredibly hard, showed great resilience and showed a fantastic attitude throughout.
Next week, we'll be taking on Pendle and putting our skills into action once again. We are looking forward to another great adventure!
A special thank you to Mr Sansom, who led the session and supported everyone throughout the walk. 👏😊

🏅 National Sports Week Celebration! 🏅
To celebrate National Sports Week, we are inviting all children to come dressed as their favourite sporting hero on Friday 10th July! ⚽🏀🏉🎾
Whether it's a footballer, gymnast, athlete, swimmer, cricketer, or any other sporting inspiration, we'd love to see who motivates them to be active and achieve their goals.

In Science this week, Woodpeckers had a fantastic time getting hands-on with their learning!
The children made their own salt dough to support their understanding of the different types of teeth we have in our mouths. It was a fun and creative way to explore how our teeth look and work.
We love seeing such enthusiasm and engagement in their learning- well done, Woodpeckers!

What a fantastic Roman Day our Year 4 pupils have had! 🇮🇹🏛️
The children fully immersed themselves in life in Roman Britain and took part in a range of exciting activities throughout the day. From soldier training to tasting Roman-style foods.
We also got creative by building Roman roads using biscuits, chocolate and marshmallows – a delicious way to explore engineering! 🍫🍪 They enjoyed learning about life in Roman schools and even had a go at writing in Latin.
It’s been wonderful to see such enthusiasm, curiosity and teamwork. A big well done to all of Year 4 for making the day so memorable!

Last Friday, some of our Year 4, 5 and 6 children had the privilege of visiting Emirates Old Trafford, home of the Lancashire Cricket team. The children had a fantastic day watching Lancashire take on Middlesex and enjoyed taking part in lots of fun activities around the ground. One of the highlights of the day was watching the mascot race, where everyone cheered loudly as our very own Bertie Bee raced to victory! The children were a credit to the school and thoroughly enjoyed this memorable experience. 🏏
