I help parents who want to find more balance to enjoy parenting, their work and their lives

We continue to be so grateful and blown away by everyone's generosity - we're now £20 off Graham's fundraising target. If you're able to spare a couple of pounds, it all helps and is very gratefully received. Please see the donation link in the comments.

Rhys is put out that he can't go up the climbing tower (not quite yet). But we hope that he and many other children can continue to access this facility for years to come. I'm sure he'll still enjoy watching Daddy fly down a 50 foot zip line on Saturday - I know that I will 😉

Scouts Scotland have said the following about how funds will be used:

At Scout Adventures Fordell Firs, we believe that adventure should be accessible to everyone. The right equipment makes all the difference in ensuring that people with complex and additional needs can take part in the excitement, challenge and confidence-building experiences that the outdoors offers. In the past, our accessible climbing equipment has enabled countless participants to enjoy activities such as climbing and crate stacking. These sessions have supported individuals with a wide range of needs, including lower limb paralysis and Cerebral Palsy, helping them to experience adventure in a safe, supportive and empowering way. Unfortunately, this specialist equipment has now reached the end of its safe working life and has had to be retired. Without it, we are currently unable to offer these vital accessible sessions, limiting opportunities for those who benefit from them most. By funding a new, modern harness system, we can reopen our existing accessible activities and go even further. Improved trunk support would allow us to safely expand opportunities to include experiences such as the zip wire or abseiling wall, while ensuring participants are properly supported and comfortable throughout. With your support, we can remove barriers, restore vital provision, and continue to make adventure truly accessible for all.

Thank you so much to everyone who has already generously donated to this cause! We're super excited that Graham's already hit half of his fundraising target to help upgrade the equipment at the Scout camp at Fordell Firs!

We love that they provide accessible activities for children and young people - both scouts and children at local schools.

If you can manage to donate a couple of quid, it could help make a big difference. I've also got a pledge sheet if anyone who's local wants me to pick up your donation. Just pop me a message or donate at the link in the comments.
