Five little speckled frogs, sitting on a log…

Our children brought this much-loved nursery rhyme to life through a hands-on water play activity. They explored frogs, water, logs and leaves while learning about different creatures, natural materials and the environments they live in.
Activities like this support language, imagination and curiosity, while helping children make connections between stories, songs and the world around them.

Mixing colours made for a wonderful hands-on learning experience.

The children explored what happens when different colours are mixed together, helping them recognise colours and understand how new shades can be created. They also enjoyed a sensory element with the cornflour, using curiosity and creativity to investigate textures, movement and change.

To extend the learning even further, the children were challenged to create their very own rainbow using the tubes.

Our children enjoyed a hands-on self-care activity, learning all about hygiene in a fun and meaningful way.

Through bathing the dolls and using toothbrushes, they practised caring routines while recognising different body parts and talking about how we look after ourselves each day. This activity helped encourage independence, confidence and an understanding of healthy habits.

Learning through role play gives children the chance to explore real-life skills in a gentle, engaging way.

What letters can you find?

Our children enjoyed a fun sensory alphabet activity, using tweezers to carefully pick letters out of the foam. This helped support their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and early literacy as they became more familiar with different letters of the alphabet.

Through play, they also explored texture, movement and curiosity, making learning exciting, hands-on and meaningful.
