Summer Concert โ€“ what a night.

Following six hours of intensive orchestral play days with specialist instrumental tutors, our musicians delivered a truly outstanding evening of live music. The dedication and focus throughout the day carried straight onto the stage, resulting in a performance full of energy, precision and musicality.

The orchestra of 45 students set the tone beautifully, supported by a dynamic brass ensemble with real power, clarity and confidence, and a rich, expressive string group that brought warmth and depth to the overall sound. The Y10 band added further depth to an already packed programme, showing real confidence and musical growth.

Two exceptional โ€œlead performerโ€ showcases from our Year 12 students stood out as genuine masterclasses. Younger students watched in awe as each delivered a polished 15-minute set of the highest standard, raising aspirations across the department.

Our Year 12 music technology students ensured everything ran seamlessly behind the scenes, managing sound and lighting to a professional level and significantly enhancing the overall experience.

Alongside this, a number of soloists contributed standout performances, each adding something unique to an already rich and varied concert.

A hugely successful evening and a real celebration of the talent, commitment and teamwork within the music department.

With high temperatures forecast for the rest of the week, we have made temporary adjustments to our uniform expectations to help students remain comfortable during the school day.

Students may either wear their school uniform without a blazer, tie, or both, or attend in full school PE kit. Please ensure that any PE kit worn complies with the school's uniform policy.

We also encourage all students to:
โ€ข Bring a refillable water bottle to school each day
โ€ข Stay hydrated by drinking water regularly
โ€ข Apply sunscreen before arriving at school, particularly if they are likely to spend time outdoors during break and lunchtime

Thank you for your support as we help keep our students safe and comfortable in the warm weather.

๐Ÿ“š Book of the Week
This weekโ€™s recommendation from the English Department is War Horse by Michael Morpurgo.
Joey, a young farm horse, is sold to the cavalry at the outbreak of the First World War and is sent to the battlefields of France. Separated from his owner Albert, Joey experiences the harsh realities of war from both sides of the conflict.
Amid the chaos and devastation, the story follows Joeyโ€™s journey as he encounters different people, moments of kindness, and the enduring bond between horse and human.
A powerful and moving novel that brings history to life through an unforgettable perspective.

๐Ÿ Coventry Schoolsโ€™ Cup Finalists! ๐Ÿ
Our Year 8 cricket team produced another outstanding performance to book their place in the Coventry Schoolsโ€™ Cup Final with a superb 123-run victory over Campion School.
After posting an impressive 163-4 from their 15 overs, Stoke Park delivered a dominant display with the ball, restricting Campion to just 40-9.
๐Ÿ‘ Rizwan (54*) and Muhibullah (40*) continued their excellent form, sharing a century opening partnership of 117 runs.
๐ŸŒŸ Special recognition goes to Year 7 student Moawiz, who produced remarkable bowling figures of 4 wickets for just 4 runs from 2 overs.
