Please see information below regarding two holiday courses that we will be running on the 28th August at Bexley Music. Spaces are limited so please do sign up as soon as possible if you are interested in taking part.

🎸 Guitar Course
Come and join the fun this Summer at our 1-day Guitar Course!

Friday 28th August 2026
Time: 10am - 2pm
Location: Bexley Music @ Belmont Academy (Belmont Road, DA8 1LE)
Cost: £15

Children going into Years 4 - 8 in September 2026, who are having lessons and can play the guitar - classical, electric or bass! Please bring instruments and amps with you.

Come and join the fun this Summer at our 1-day Keyboard Course!

Cost: £15

Children going into Years 4 - 8 in September 2026, who are having lessons and can play the keyboard/piano. You do not need to bring your keyboard/piano with you.

🎵 INSTRUMENTAL WORKSHOP AT HALL PLACE 🎵

What a fantastic day we have all had at Hall Place! Lots of fantastic music making and meeting new friends. The event has culminated in a concert to families and friends in the glorious setting of the Great Hall.

We’d like to invite all participants of today’s workshops to join a Bexley Music ensemble for September 2026!

To register for Beginner Wind Band on a Friday evening 4.30-5.30pm (for woodwind and brass players only) or for Beginner Orchestra on a Saturday afternoon 1-2.30pm (for woodwind, brass and string players), please visit:

Click on Bexley Music Youth Ensembles and choose your relevant ensemble. If you are part of the Endangered Instrument Programme here at Bexley Music, ensemble membership is a requirement of your position on the programme, so please ensure you have chosen your ensemble for September following the link above, if you haven’t already.

We have thoroughly enjoyed the workshop today, and look forward to seeing you again with us at an ensemble in September!

🎵 Free Instrumental workshops- Bexley Music - 15th July 🎵

Free workshops for students learning Woodwind, String or Brass instruments with Bexley Music in your Primary or Secondary school.

A fantastic opportunity to develop skills, celebrate musical achievement and enjoy a day of music!

Day: Wednesday
Date: 15th July 2026
Time: 9:45 - 14:30
Venue: Hall Place, Bourne Rd, Dartford, Bexley DA5 1PQ

The plan for the day is:

Arrive: 9:45
Session One: 10:00 - 10:50
Session Two: 11:10 - 12:00
Lunch: Please bring a packed lunch and water bottle. We are a nut free setting so please do not include any nut or nut products in the packed lunches.
Session Three: 12:30 - 13:50
Session four: 14:00 - 14:30

· Parents/carers will need to drop off the children at Hall Place and pick them up after the event. There will be a short performance for parents/carers at the end of the day from 14.10-14.30. We hope the timings will then give parents/carers enough time to return to the school, should they need to collect a sibling.
· Parents/Carers should request absence in the usual way from schools, and we will liaise with you on the day should a child who has signed up, be absent.

It’s set to be great! We can’t wait to see you!

☀️ Wow what an amazing afternoon we had yesterday!

Thank you to the Friends of Bexley Music who arranged the Summer Fiesta yesterday - a superb afternoon!

We are looking to put together a montage of photos and videos from the afternoon - if you have any photos or footage that you don’t mind us including in this, please can you send it directly to the Bexley Music Social Media team here on Facebook, via the Messenger facility on this platform, by end of the day on Monday 13th July. ☀️

We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow at the Bexley Music Summer Fiesta 2026!

A huge thank you to the Friends of Bexley Music for arranging this event - we can’t wait!

Just as a reminder that all rehearsals prior to the event will take place at the usual times.

The programme for the day is as follows:
14.00 - Beginner Orchestra
14.25 - Beginner Wind Band
14.45 - Bexley Youth Orchestra/Bexley Youth Band
15.30 - Intermediate Band / Concert Orchestra
16.15 - Little Big Band
16.45 - Bexley Band
17.30 - END

Please be ready at least 15 minutes before your ensemble time, to ensure a smooth transition between ensembles.

Dress Code:
- Brightly coloured t-shirts with no logos OR tour t-shirts (if pupils have them)
- Black trousers/skirts/shorts

Be sun safe too! Slap on the sun cream, don’t forget a hat and plenty of water!

A bit of a different post from us this evening!

The Goodyear Blimp is frequently flying over the London Borough of Bexley at the moment and we spotted it right over Bexley Music HQ this afternoon - the children in the playground loved seeing it quite up close!
