Thank you for your understanding after the email we sent this morning about having to postpone this week’s Sports Days to keep everyone safe and comfortable. A revised date will be sent out soon!
Instead, we’ll spend time in the shaded orchard, two year groups at a time, enjoying some gentle water fun to cool off.
💦 On Wednesday, children are welcome to bring a water pistol and a change of clothes so they can join in comfortably. We won’t keep them outside for too long!
Thank you again for your support during this very warm weather - we’re looking forward to enjoying some fun together!
Please also remember to send your children in with plenty to drink, suncream and sun hats this week ☀️

As you may be aware, the Met Office has issued an Amber Extreme Heat Warning for our area.
To help keep everyone comfortable and safe in the heat, please make sure your child comes to school with a named water bottle and plenty of water. We would also be grateful if sun cream could be applied before school each morning. Children are welcome to wear shorts, skirts or summer dresses during this period of hot weather.
Please also ensure your child brings a sun hat and a named bottle of sun cream so that it can be reapplied during the day if needed.
We will be encouraging regular drink breaks and making the most of shaded areas throughout the school day.
Any further communications regarding arrangements for the hot weather will be sent via email tomorrow.
Thank you for your continued support.

We’re delighted to share a glimpse of our Year 5 Dartmoor residential from last week! 🌿
Firstly, thank you for your patience while the children were away. Unfortunately, the school phone had very limited signal on Dartmoor, which meant we weren’t able to post live updates during the trip. We do appreciate that this may have been disappointing for you and thank you for your understanding.
Despite that, the children had an absolutely fantastic time - taking part in lots of exciting activities, building friendships and showing brilliant resilience and teamwork throughout. We are so proud of them all!
We hope you enjoy looking through the photos and seeing just how much they got up to!

Year 6 are up and getting ready for a trip to the Natural History Museum this morning. Yesterday we had a Shrektakular afternoon followed by a trip to Buckingham Palace and then a well earned dinner at Pizza Express. The day was topped off with a trip to the theatre to watch The Lion King. The children have been incredible - we are so proud of them all!
