It has been a longstanding tradition to present awards at the Year 6 leaversβ assembly. Some of these trophies date back over two decades! Huge congratulations to Seb, Isla-Rose, Owen, Jasper, Amelia and Sofia.
Really though, weβre just enormously proud of every single one of our Year 6 pupils and we were so proud to present them all with certificates and photographs to celebrate their accomplishments at Exwick Heights!

π Rapinoe Torches π
Well Rapinoe - we finally did it and created out torches to finish off DT this term. We have been so excited to create these! We've combined science and DT to make our own working torches using recyclable materials. Well done!

πβ¨ Introducing our 2026β2027 Classes! β¨π
Our teachers have been getting to know their new classes over the past few weeks, but Transition Day last week made it all feel so real - and made us even more excited for the adventures ahead! It was wonderful to see children settling into their new classrooms, with so many happy smiles from pupils and staff alike. π
We were also so excited to welcome our new Reception children to school for the first time! Seeing so many happy smiles as they met their new teachers and made new friends was just joyful! π
We missed our fantastic cohort of Year 6 children but have loved hearing about their time at their secondary schools!
Watching our children move up to their new classes is always such a proud (and slightly emotional!) moment but we can't wait to see them grow in confidence, embrace new opportunities and create so many magical memories next year!
We cannot wait for an amazing 2026β2027! π

What a fantastic afternoon celebrating with our wonderful Year 6s! From plenty of dancing to chess, games, laughter and plenty of Party Rings, there were smiles all around.
Mrs Worthington even baked a brilliant '6 7' cake to celebrate their exciting transition from Year 6 to Year 7. 6οΈβ£7οΈβ£

π¦πΏ Who comes to school when everyone has gone home? π
Our wonderful Nature Area is home to some amazing wildlife!
Using our motion-sensor wildlife cameras, we've captured some exciting footage of the foxes and badgers that live in and visit our school grounds during the night. It is a lovely reminder of the rich natural environment we are so fortunate to have at Exwick Heights.
We are excited to continue developing this area over the coming months as we further enhance our Wellbeing Curriculum, creating regular opportunities for children to learn outdoors, connect with nature and develop a deeper appreciation of the world around them. We know that spending time in nature has a positive impact on children's wellbeing, while also nurturing their curiosity, creativity and love of learning.
Sharing our school with local wildlife helps inspire our children to care for the environment and appreciate the incredible species living right on our doorstep.
We will keep sharing our wildlife discoveries β you never know what our cameras will capture next! π¦‘π¦π

The Summer Art Exhibition on Wednesday was a wonderful celebration of the awesome art that goes on at Exwick Heights. Thank you to all the families who stayed after school in the hot sunshine to appreciate the children's efforts, and a big thanks to our wonderful Exwick Heights PTFA who provided much needed cooling refreshments! Well done to all the children for their great artistic efforts and to our super staff for planning lots of brilliant animal activities and for creating such beautiful displays. Happy weekend everyone!
