🚦🚲 Learning through play and creativity! 🚲🚦

Our children had a fantastic time using magnetic shapes to design and build their very own bikes, demonstrating wonderful creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork along the way. It was lovely to see them sharing ideas and working together to bring their creations to life.

As part of our activities, the children also explored the traffic light system and learned what each colour means. They were able to identify when to stop, get ready, and go, helping to build their understanding of road safety in a fun and engaging way.

A great day of hands-on learning, creativity, and developing important life skills! 🌟

⭐ Week 20 Home Learning: "Stardust" ⭐

This week, our children have been enjoying the beautiful story "Stardust" – a heartwarming tale about a little girl who wishes more than anything to be a star. Although her big sister seems to win at everything, she discovers that there is someone in her family who makes her feel truly special. 💖

Invite your child to help with a simple cleaning task at home. Celebrate their efforts and let them know what a STAR they are for helping!

Have fun with a simple competition, such as a race, paper aeroplane challenge, or another favourite game. Talk about who wins and remind children that taking part and having fun are just as important!

⚽🏆 The excitement of the World Cup has arrived at nursery! 🏆⚽

Our children have been embracing the football fever by creating their very own team shirts and designing fantastic paper plate footballs. Inspired by the excitement, colours, and celebrations of the World Cup, they loved expressing their creativity and showing support for their favourite teams.

The fun didn't stop there! The children enjoyed practising their football skills, scoring goals, and celebrating with their friends just like their World Cup heroes. It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, teamwork, and imagination as they joined in with the tournament spirit.

A fantastic day of football-themed fun, creativity, and World Cup excitement! 🌎⚽✨

Just over a year ago, local families faced uncertainty when a nursery suddenly closed.

Now, the team that stepped in to keep childcare provision alive has something to celebrate. 🎉👶

Following its latest inspection, the Dawlish nursery has been praised by Ofsted for creating a calm, nurturing environment where children feel a strong sense of belonging and are well prepared for the next stage of their learning.

It's a welcome boost for staff, parents and children after a year of rebuilding and hard work.

🌼💧 Our little gardeners have been busy helping to care for the flowers outside the nursery! Armed with watering cans and lots of enthusiasm, the children enjoyed watering the plants and learning about what flowers need to grow and thrive. 🌱🌸

Activities like these help children develop a sense of responsibility, connect with nature, and build important physical skills while having fun outdoors. We love watching their confidence bloom alongside our beautiful flowers! ☀️🌷

Just over a year ago, we took on our newest nursery in Dawlish with a vision to create a nurturing, inclusive and child-centred environment where children could thrive. To see the dedication, care and hard work of the team recognised in this way is truly special.
